Wow, she's one hot lady. I wonder why she chose voice acting and not regular acting.

/great/ interview. you can really tell she's invested in the show, the character and the franchise as a whole. it's pretty obvious to me just be her tone and such that she really appreciates being a voice actor and being a part of the transformers fandom

I'll always be amazed at how she walked away from a lucrative investment banking career for one in acting. Not to take away anything from her acting talents, but personally, I've always considered intellectual achievements more impressive than artistic ones.

    The two aren't mutually exclusive.

Nice interview, glad that the HUB is still posting the VA's interviews.

I like her comment about taking a certain 'stance' to help her voice Arcee...:thumb

Its so great that shes heavily invested in the character. This is my absolute favorite adaptation of Arcee and to have the voice actor feel strongly for the character in the franchise makes me very excited and hopeful that she becomes the new "popular voice" of the character ( like how Peter Cullen is generally considered the most popular OP voice).

This interview is old. I specifically remember reading it a while ago.

I'm just confused by the idea that investment banking could be considered an intellectual achievement.

I'm jealous. She's talked to Peter Cullen and the Rock.

The big investment banks don't just take in anybody, one has to have significant credentials to even be considered. In fact, the same can be said of any white coller job. Hell, I work in an office where about half the people in it are Ivy League graduates, and we're not even considered that difficult to get into compared to other similar firms.

In regard to Ms Montanno herself, if I recall correctly, she's a Harvard Business School graduate.

I honestly don't see how choosing voice acting would make her any less intelligent, or that artistic endeavors are any less worthwhile than intellectual ones. It still takes a lot of brainpower and skill to be a voice actor. Not everyone could be either one, and even fewer have the skill sets to potentially be both.

Unfortunately, the number of people that value art decreases at an accelerated rate every year it seems.

Never said it made her any less intelligent. Though yes, I do think intellectual pursuits are more praiseworthy and worthwhile, but that's just the opinion of one man, feel free to disagree with it.

Regardless, from all accounts, she's happy with the choices she's made, and that's what matters in the end. I cant imagine myself making the same choice, but that hardly matters.
