    Got mine this morning.

    -very nice packaging
-good size... somehow he looks bigger than recent voyager figures... must be an illusion
-I don't like how the shins always unpeg from the legs the minute you try posing the figure
-rubber smokestacks and sword = meh
-brownish plastic = meh... why not black or a darker grey?
    -good sculpt
-mine came with a minor defect: it came with a pin about 1.5mm too long, preventing me to swing part of the backpack to the side for truck mode. Had to push it a bit so it protrudes on both ends to gain some clearance. What should I use to cut a pin flush?

Mine is still stuck in customs.

    It's been FIVE DAYS.

This guy had better be worth the frustration.

A leader version could easily accommodate that.

This voyager will be bought but I wish it looked as good as the one at nycc, the one on dissplay looked like it had better paint apps.

    It was hand-painted.

Is the silver stripe on the fairing-whatever show-accurate or not? I see the deluxe has one but not the voyager...

I don't recall him ever having silver there.

EDIT: And a quick peak into "Convoy" agrees.

Loved the look of this toy from the start.

Stinks about the rubber blade, though- in my opinion, it was probably the coolest looking part of the toy. :(

Are the hands 5mm pegs? Maybe I can bash something out of LEGOs...

I do not have high hope of TakaraTomy making them shinning because of what they had done to the TakaraTomy movie toys, which is exactly the same as Hasbro version.

But look at what they did with Animated and United. Movie toys are a different thing.

I got this guy last night and I am very pleased. He has some problems fitting together because every part of his truck mode is stuffed with robot parts. It's quite impressive.

Have you guys noticed the VERY detailed interior? You can see it from behind during transformation before swinging the head down. Impressive, I'll try to fit IT Spike in there to see if he fits.

I'm really tempted to say that this is my favourite Optimus figure ever...it's just got it all!

And for those who can't decide whether the deluxe or voyager is better, this may help:

If I made a better blade for Prime on shapeways, would you guys buy it? My rough estimate for cost of finished product would be $12 for a fairly big blade.

I don't care enough about it to do it just for my Prime, so you guys will be the deciding factor.

Got mine today, and aside from the gap between the roof/wind vein and the windows I really like him. Great transformation, great looking robot and vehicle modes. The only thing I would change(other than the gap issue) is the sword, make it actually right-side up with the handle and maybe use a less rubbery plastic.

^ The gap is due to plastic on his ankle preventing the windvane from folding down enough.

So, is there a reason why the blade appears to be upside-down? Or should we insert the sword from the bottom of the fist?

It's because the blade is 'upside-down' in the show...so actually it's the right way-up! :)
