Not really sure what to think based off these clearly misstransformed pictures. Hopefully we get some better in-hand pictures soon. Also looks like they've got the cannon on the wrong arm (the image could also be mirrored). The only thing that worried me about this figure, atm, is his left arm/hand. In the Argos picture it looked like it was holding another weapon of some kind, and while I still think it was, something about it doesn't look right in this picture. Hopefully Toy Fair will bring us a nice close-up look at him and the new Voyager Optimus.

This is most definitely the Voyager. Apparently all, or at least most, of Prime's main-line Voyagers will have a weapon with built-in electronics.

 

Look at the jet mode, it looks more of gold. We are getting that big electronic Optimus. But this one does look immensely like the Argos one, just with the brown. Look at the left hands, the knee caps, and the gun. the only thing's that are different are darker color and the jetmode positioning. I think they could be the same figure.
Though curious, I doubt it's a prototype, but still possible. ALSO the little clear circular bases? Those are what they use to display things at like toyfair and sdcc, cons and shows of that nature. Could we see more from a toy show? He defenatly look's as if a display piece.

What's Prime without Megatron? Let's hope we never have to find out, at least for the TFPrime toy line. XD This is so bought!

 

Nah, looking at the chest molding, the gun, the arm molding, etc., I'm 99% convinced this is a completely different figure. I think it's either a possible Leader version, or oddly enough, something extremely small. Whatever it is, I truly don't think that's the same Voyager when doing a direct comparison to the Argos catalog pic.

I have no idea why people think this is a different figure than the one just revealed. The shoulders are just mistransformed, he shares the EXACT same awkward-looking left arm as the one in the Argos scans, the lack of purple in his chest compared to the Argos pics could simply be because of a mistransformation on one end, since they share the same detailing aside from the lack of as much purple in these pics. Also, the brownish toes and other pieces mean nothing. The pics we got from Argos were official pics. They are ALWAYS better looking than the final figures, especially in the case of most Megatron figures where the official pics are taken of painted prototypes, not production figures that can't afford to use that much silver paint. These are production toys, painting them in silver would be a rarity. Hasbro's only done it a few times in recent years, and never with a large Megatron figure. Just my two cents.  

 

I wouldn't be surprised if they are both the Voyager Megatron. Remember, the publicity shots are usually painted prototypes, which can sometimes be very different from the final release. I remember that most of the publicity shots we saw for the ROTF figures had features that were cut out of the toy.

 

I'll prolly buy it. I have plans to at least get the Voyager OP and Megatron from this series.

I await larger and clearer pics though.

 

Do want. Along with Voyager Prime. Glad I held of the First Ed Voyager Prime.

Seriously though, I think this is just the same Megs as in the Argos catalogue pics... simply mistransformed as others have said.

 

Yeah I dunno man... I was simply speculating. I guess I'm in the minority here, but I see more differences between the two than just paint & some mistranformation. Not gonna get too worked up over it, though
