hello... anyone know whats the difference in general between the RID and first edition lines? does the first edition line have better and more transformation sequences? are the robot modes closer to the actual thing for the first edition line? paint job? also is takara releasing the RID line? any comments from frens are welcomed... =)

-sigh- this thread? I just answered you...

FE: A Preview Toy line, that have a feel to the previous toys.

    RID: Transformers simplified.

I'd guess the first editon series was aimed more at collectors. Its all a matter of opinion of course, but I think the general consensus is that the figures in the first edition series are superior to their counterparts in the RID line (eg, FE Prime is better than the RID one) due to more complex transformations and less gimmicky features. However, RID Wheeljack and Soundwave have been incredibly popular, and are excellent figures. I'd have to admit, I don't know a lot about the takara versions, but they are coming (and with transforming weapons to boot.!)
