Hasbro Europe have now confirmed, via the toy industry magazine toy news, that Transformers Prime figures will be released within the UK in March 2012. The release will be supported by TV advertising, a sticker book and the comic series. Other licensed goods have also been confirmed.

You can view more details on the announcement as well as some images from this months issue of the magazine at www.transformertoys.co.uk

Yes, but the release date has gone from March, to January, to March. So now I have to wait even longer for these toys. :(

Forbidden Planet still have the First Edition toys down on their website as being delivered to all retailers on the 29th of January...so maybe March is the mainline launch?

Yeah I expect March is the official launch date but I expect they will be out in some places before hand. For example Argos will most likely have them in the next catalogue which means they are bound to start stocking and releasing them early like they often do.

This was the first confirmed release date from Hasbro Europe though as far as I know.

Wonder what crap choices Hasbro will make regarding the UK this time?

Apologies. I tried not to post negatively but it was the first thought that came to my mind when I clicked on the thread. So just to balance things out with a positive comment: Yay. :)

Looking forwards to the figures. Whichever ones we probably might eventually get.

Two questions. If the Argos catalogue comes out next week, and Prime toys are in there, does that mean they won't have stock for two months? Seems an odd move for Argos.

Second, as The Entertainer imports from the US, does anyone know if they will be stocking them earlier?

It's not unknown for Argos to have stuff in the catalogue but have a note next to it that says 'Not available until ****'. It's the nature of a catalogue shop. With so many lines of different products (not just TF) coming out at different times they can't hold off releasing a new catalogue just because the stock isn't available for everything in it at that time. I'm sure a lot of the current stuff will still be available so it's not like they'd be without any TF figures for sale at all.

We are talking about the packaging of 1st Edition or the RID packaging?
