I'm just thinking it's possible because the image of Bumblebee looks like the movie Bumblebee. You think that the new tv series Transformers Prime is like the Transformers film spin-off?

It's not in the movie continuity. It seems to have some design influence from it but that's common for cartoons of franchises that come out after a movie. Besides how could this be the continuing story of the movieverse when TF3 isn't even out yet?

I believe it is, only because of the Bumblebee look...

I'm pretty sure it's just movie-inspired. Other sites have reported the series as having been movie-inspired and not movie continuity as it was said here.

So far all we have is that the design for is Bumblebee which is sure making it look like a movie related series. Since the other designs haven't been released we only have the descriptions from Bot Con about the other characters.

They really didn't tell that much about the continuity or how the series would differ from the movies at Bot Con so either they tell us something at Comic Con or we are going to be stuck speculating about the continuity until the series comes out since we aren't going to have toy bio cards to go by before the series.

Personally I've got my fingers crossed that it's nothing like the movies except for the look of Bumblebee.

Many said the same thing when they first saw Megatron in Transformers Animated before he got his Earth Mode.

i think yes there is no toys showen so hunt for the cons might be its toy line too. very little is talked about and how bee looks is like movie bee and cullen is prime. so i say it is a movie prequel.

    Wha?

Cullen is Prime, so it's a movie prequel?

I can't even follow the thought process there. Cullen was Prime in the 80s. That is why he was Prime in the movies. Your logic here is completely backwards.

How could it even be a prequel? It obviously takes place at least partially on Earth, since humans characters are mentioned.

No. No it won't be a movie tie-in. Nothing seems to indicate that beyond wild speculation.

The Descriptions of the other designs don't sound like it fits in continuity at all.

From what I haerd Megatron is the cybertronian TFA Mega with a bucket head and jet alt mode then detailed-up and Optimus while similar is still different enough to be clearly a different character.

Not to mention that why would they write a show if TF3 would retcon everything anyway?

Kids aren't stupid. They weren't confused by David Kaye in Animated.

    I voted no.

I just can't see robots humping legs and racist-minstrel bots on the Hub happening.

I don't think it's spinoff, but it would be heavily inspired by movies. For ex., Sam and Mikaela will exists there too; Matrix will be in Egypt in the Primes chamber too, etc.

And where'd you get that from? As shown in Exodus and WFC Optimus carries the Matrix (handle bars and all) in his chest while like the films and Animated it seems like they'll find the AllSpark on Earth.
