So the actual CG work is actually sub-contracted & done by a Japanese animation studio*?

Interesting piece of info but cool nonetheless! :thumbs2:

    (*Just like TFA series)

So basically we have Western story telling and design mixed with Japanese animation?

Hopefully it takes the best from each. The Japanese tend to make busy things with overbearing, nonsense tripe...but still look cool doing it. Western folks usually have competent storytelling but the Animation and execution aren't always up to par.

    Only the reveal will tell.

Well, I will try to keep an open mind but I really do not like CG animation, especially if it looks overtly computer generated. Most Japanese studios make a pretty good job of it these days though so I am hoping that they don't make a mess of this new series.

Digitalscapes CV is pretty much games, albeit good games. I am interested to see what the final product ends up like.

Is anyone with me when I say "why is this considered news", I mean yeah sure we got this new storyboard guy joining everybody in the Prime panel and apparently rough footage from Japan being completed (which I really hope isn't the footage that will appear at SDCC), but other than that it is the same old "oh yeah, I'm working on Prime, look at me, I am going to the panel...are you guys excited? Do you want to ask me something? Too bad! Go to panel!". This kind of stuff just annoys me in that whenever I read the Transformers Prime headline in the news section I get excited because I am curious to where this new serious will go and dissapointed that design wise, all we have gotten since the Bumblebee stomach up shot was....a full body shot of Bumblebee (yawn)

I havent read the posts, so maybe someone said it already. But has anyone else noticed that everyone that has announced their involvement in TF Prime, has nothing but horror art on their deviant pages??? TF: Prime, the horror series....could be.

Not Jose Lopez, and he's the character designer. ;)

Besides which, they've also worked on The Batman, Jackie Chan Adventures, and the Boondocks, among other shows.

Never judge a book by its cover.

Funny though, Derrick's big into Transformers and they're big into horror, and Derrick's doing Scooby Doo and they're doing Transformers. I'm sure that, given the opportunity, Dave and Bryan would totally swap places with Derrick to work on the first truly creepy and funny Scooby-Doo show ever. ;)
