It's already confirmed for season two? Wowzerz. I'm not complaining! :D
Now can we see one toy, please? (That isn't a WFC incarnation.)

I think I'm going to have to accept that Cullen just can't pull off the lighter-hearted G1 Prime as compared to the more stern and serious Movie/Prime version. Ah well.

That said, let's hope his dialog continues to drift away from the over-philosophizing, almost grandiose speech-delivering he was keen on for the movies and most of the 5-part intro.

Well to be fair, during the whole 5-Part he only spoke during stern and serious situations.

Let's wait and see him during lighter scenes.

I guess I'm hoping to see him talking with his troops or the kids in less-than-dire situations, because so far his dialog has made him seem a bit detached from the group. Maybe that's the direction they're going for with him, but I tend to like my Primes/Primals as "one of the guys", as it were.

Aside from G1 of course which currently holds the largest no. of eps.!

And here's to hoping that the standard and quality of writing remains good throughout the series as well. But I am quite confident that Prime is in capable hands in that department.

Whilst I am not particularly fond of Miko from the opening mini-series either, I anticipate some maturing of or insight into her character over time, though some things may always remain characteristically constant about her, such as her fearless 'exuberance'.

If that ever comes to be the case, then I wouldn't mind the show coming to an end either. But I think the reason a lot of us get excited to hear about more episodes for Prime is because we take it as a general indicator of longer-running and bigger stories to be told.

Unlike with previous TFs series, I get the sense that there is a real desire and commitment from Hasbro to make Prime a long-running series, which is encouraging. As long as the Hub channel succeeds and stays alive, I think there's a good chance that the future of Prime will be a long and fruitful one.

I made that observation about this Prime a while ago as well. Prime's highly formal manner of speech is an indicator of his age and experience as well as of his position, and it creates a noticeable distance from and 'formalizes' his interactions with his troops and friends. Now what is interesting for me to ponder is whether this was deliberate on the writers' parts? It certainly could be interesting to gain some insight into and give a reason for Prime's 'detachment'.

    Just musing.

That sucks. No more Cliffjumper? He had the most charisma of anyone. I love Cullen but Optimus is always a downer when you listen to him in this show...it's really depressing. Very Beast Machines.

How does it suck? He died, kaput, bye. I'd be more pissed if they brought him back through some idiotic explanation.

Amen. My oldest son and I LOVED TF:A. It appealled to my nostalgia, but had the elements craved by children in the modern "gotta be flashy" cartoon style.

It also had simple stories that young children (the ones who play with toys) could follow, but were deep enough for parents to enjoy as well (The savage "death" of Blurr still gives me the shivers).

The toys were also awesome. One of the few times the toy looked exactly like the screen version. Transformations were fairly simple unlike the PhD level manipulations required by several of the movie toys. Oh well. At least I have Mattycollector.com He-Man toys to fall back on for the upcoming year.
