How can this show be 39 episodes in and 1 new character (who is a repaint). I hate BW but even they knew how to introduce new characters.

 

A MacGuffin doesn't make a story good or bad. The Maltese Falcon revolves around a MacGuffin, and that's one of the greatest books ever written (imo) along with being a wildly popular and nearly universally well-regarded movie. A lot of Hitchcock's movies revolve around MacGuffins, and most people consider him to be one of the greatest filmmakers who ever lived. Pulp Fiction features one. Countless other movies and novels.

It's a lazy complaint, imo, made without understanding the historical context of MacGuffins. It's not the MacGuffin itself that is a problem. It's how it's used. Correctly used, the story becomes about exploring the characters who happen to be searching for the MacGuffin.

1. We're 34 episodes in, not 39

and

2. There have been closer to 6 new Cybertronian characters over those 34 episodes, with only one repaint.

so count more carefully.

 

And still no new characters. Good grief what a boring cast.

 

Yeah, it's been a whole three episodes since we've gotten a new character. WTF, writers!

 

I'm counting season 1 as well kid.

 

I hope we see a Need For Speed racing scene in this episode! its the perfect environment

 

Then you need to recount. Or actually watch the show. We've had at least 6 new TF characters beyond the cast from the beginning of season 1. But don't let facts get in the way of your complaining.

 

Hey boy this guide is for episode 13 of season 2 which makes it 39 since season 1 had 26. You learn to count kid. Kids these days. Another member to add to the ignore list.

 

I was trying to give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you weren't claiming to know we wouldn't get any new characters in the episodes you haven't seen, since you already don't know the difference between 1 character and 6.


And hey, READ THE THREAD TITLE. It's episode 12 of season 2. Which would be 38, total. So, yeah, whoops! Again, learn to count. You must have put your first grade teacher on the ignore list.

People should not be insulting one another it's as simple as that. Doing so creates a negative community which is counterproductive to constructive discussion.

 

Okay - that makes sense, and I do remember that mention. And I guess it's a good way to keep that story arc going - some of the characters kind of literally record some of it to progress it further. : D
