Angle trick. You can still see the shoulders are slanted forward.

I keep coming back to this thread to look at the pictures every time I need a good laugh. Bless you, Revealers Bumblebee.

Disassembling the gear mechanism is pretty easy. However, there's no way to fix the slanted shoulders without adding in some sliding joints. The front of the car is ONLY connected to the main body via the shoulders and will not allow them to rotate any further back.

    FTFY.

I know I'm probably going to attract flames by saying so, but could it really be THAT bad? I admit to being biased, since I was utterly infuriated with how floppy FE Bumblebee's various upper body parts are, and feel like I'd rather have anything else besides it, but still...

Meh. I have first edition bee.

Fantastic review. Seems that the revealers are'nt without a linewide gimmick. The spring loaded head reveal.

I'll pass on revealers bee. But I'll probably pick up the mold as hotshot. The darker color and new head may help.

Conceivably you could hollow out the back end of the gears of the geared mounts for the shoulders and use those as slider joints to allow the shoulders to straighten out.

The more I play with this thing, the less I dislike it. The head can be pushed down further if you treat it like a hinge, not an automorph gimmick, and the shoulders, while weird, are functional.

Nah, the shoulder/arm halve connections on FE BB are terrible.

That's what I was saying earlier. Pretty much anything else would be preferable to me.

Nah, I'm just getting past my gut reaction and finding a way to enjoy it. I'd rather enjoy things and be happier than detest them and be miserable.

My alternate solution is to not spend the money on garbage in the first place so I don't have to trick myself into being happy with it.

^ That's because you don't run a profitable review channel.

But when you already have garbage, and the supposedly inferior product is the only available substitute, what can be done?

^ The FE mold is a good figure. If your problem is with the chest pieces being floppy, that's a QC issue. Tighten the joints with super glue or Future Floors.

Well, at that point, I do agree with MisterFanwank. If you've already bought the toy and are too moral a person to try to trick someone else into buying it off of you, you might as well convince yourself to be happy with it.

I could try that. But aside from the floppy chest, it's mostly the the awkward construction of the arms that bugs me; the shoulders don't lock in place, putting them in the show-accurate position makes him look ridiculously wide while limiting poseability, the forearms have that inward curve that make them look weird when he's pointing his gun...I think I'd rather have a less complicated upper body and just live with the other faults.

I was referring to being dissatisfied with the FE version and having only the RID one to turn to. Though I get the feeling the outcome would still be pretty much what you said in the end...

^ That's a shame. I found that FE 'Bee was a delightful figure once I got used to how everything moved.
