God the more I see of this review the more I hate that figure.

They just changed so many freaking things and made it less show accurate and more kibbly in the process.

From the weapons to the back panels to the paint. It just doesn't look as good and is a major step down from the incredible deluxe.

Cool. I'll say that I'm skipping FE Prime for this one. I like how we get some true windshield transformation in there.

At the expense of an accurate backpack, paint apps, and weapons.:banghead:

Sorry but I don't mind if it cheats. FE is more aesthetically pleasing IMO.

It looks neat, but As a figure, it certainly seems weaker than the FE one. There's no excuse for that backpack.

Still, it looks like fun. I'm glad the voyagers are starting to get more play features. It actually gives me a reason to buy them, instead of always going for deluxe figures.

First Edition all that way. That thing is..well, I rather not say to keep things PG around here.

Nice review! Both versions have their issues, but FE Wins this round I think. The chibified alt mode reminds me of postman pat's van. The chest transformation is nice, however.

Non-fake alt mode windows are a plus. Back kibble, weapon, are minuses.

Pass, but hoping for another Voyager with non-fake windows.

Ya This is a step back when it comes to design. I'm not buying this one at all.
The Truck form looks stubby and the backpack. Why? they did a awesome job on both the Voyager and the Deluxe First edition. and then they do this.
Maybe this one is geared towards the kids and not the collector, since the First Edition is defensively for collectors.

I hope if and when they do a voyager Ratchet it is at the same quality as the First edition.

i dont understand what is the point on making an entirely new figure without really improving the existing one?Hasbro probably felt the FE's backpack was too small....

Bot mode looks pretty good, but I don't get the blue arms at all.The backpack doesn't really bother me too much.

Alt mode looks good, although it just seems kinda plain.

Once again the weapons are a big letdown.

I'm sure I'll get him eventually, though I'll probably wait for some kind of a deal.

I'm still immensely curious as to why the First Edition line was even released at all now.

Especially since a good number of us got teased by an arguably nicer Voyager Prime mold that quite a few of us won't get our hands on.

    awesome figure, horrible paint job
i think its actually nice but the paint ruins it
but it has real windshield chest
if they made him solid plastic and well...correctly painted the torso it would have been good enough to forgive the backpack

If Powerizers refer to the light up gimmick, I hope Hasbro will release regular versions of these molds without the out of place translucent plastic and without the light up pack.

I purchased it, took a look at it, then instantly got a refund. This RID version is nothing compared to the FE version.

Hopefully I can get this figure and Voyager Megatron on Friday.

Yes The First Edition looks better in most ways, but this does not seem that bad.
