Same here. The FE deluxes I have are so awesome. The more I see of the RID toys, the less excited I am for this line. I'm actually considering just buying the FE Voyagers and Cliffjumper, and calling it quits.

But then they have to pay almost double the toy's price for what may or may not be an improvement, and considering he's already smaller that's really hard for most to swallow.

No worries, like I said it wasn't aimed at you, just that topic in general.:thumbs2:

But yeah, looks like Takara will be my only option and that's IF he's even painted silver. Time will tell on that one.

More than double actually, which makes taking the plunge on a TakTom one so painful. But as long as I don't HAVE to keep buying imported figs for better accuracy I won't mind doing it this once.

Anyone notice how the hands and toes are not bronze on those picks?

Thanks for the nice and clear pics, the others gave us all we needed to know we want this Megatron, but these pics should make the decision much easier for anyone who hasn't made up their mind. :thumb

The Deluxe still does it better.

Still, at least we know there'll probably be multiple toys of this design, so we probably won't go wanting for a perfect representation...

Awesome pics Sol, I'm still not a fan of the plastic color used for his Cannon, hands and toes but it looks better that it previously did, kind of like the same plastic on Human Alliance Barricade.

i seriously cannot wait for all of these figures.

if megatron were a bit taller.. he'd be perfect. at this point, he's just great in my opinion.

i can't tell which figure i want more.. wheeljack, prime, megatron, cliffjumper.. i can't decide. i do know that soundwave looks incredible in both modes. i love the accuracy, i love the alt mode, i think it's perfect for him. and i absolutely love the spindly arms and the laserbeak chest.

but here's the biggest question i have.. can voyager megatron use deluxe megatrons cannon.. and how does it look if he can use it.

Just wondering if anyone's going to try making a Shapeways upscaled version of the Deluxe's fusion cannon for this guy. I can deal with the back kibble and everything else, but the Deluxe's cannon is just so nicely proportioned and sculpted that I can't go for this one's oversized gimmick weapon.

Well I'm buying this guy. I thought I would be passing on the Prime toys besides Starscream, but I have to pick up Megatron now too.

I THINK that what he said was that when you use the "mech-tech gimmick" the blades do not stay out and spring back into the weapon. But, if you manually deploy the blades themselves ie - don't push the button to activate the gimmick and just pull the blades out by hand, then you can keep the blade out without damaging the springs for the gimmick.

    Am I correct...?

Plastic looks pretty dull and the ALT mode is absolutely HORRIBLE. The worst Prime toy so far I think

Pass. It's a fantastic mold, but the lack of color makes it look like a prototype. It's no wonder Megatron toys don't sell that well.
