I found on tfwiki.net that the producers have talked about a theatrical release. idk if a thread like this has been posted all ready. What do you think the movie could possibly be about?

Well we all know that Hasbro doesn't want to let this cash cow go, and if the Prime universe does well then we may see a reboot within this universe. Even if it's coming though, don't expect it for at least 3-5 years.

We need a TFP movie that is a prequel that shows what happened between the Autobots and the Decepticons three years ago.

No, he's not nearly violent enough. He didn't even try and get the drop on Starscream and Skyquake. He just calmly walked up to them.

I can't see them doing a theatrical release unless the show is a BIG hit. I mean BIG. Some big TV shows don't get theatrical releases (maybe because the producers don't want to?), but I can seem them making like a 1 hour special 'TV' movie or a straight-to-DVD release.

Yeah, this is what I see happening, too. Transformers is pretty big as is, but Prime would have to be a MAJOR hit in order for a theatrical release to take place. I think the 1 hour 'TV' movie special is a lot more expected. A theatrical release would be cool, though, and I'd watch both. But if it ever does happen, I hope by then everyone is fleshed out and at their best, and we don't have to deal with 30 minutes of building shit up just to be let down.

Didn't we just have this thread a week ago?

Like I said then, the days of kid's TV shows like Recess, Spongebob Squarepants, Hey Arnold, Doug, etc getting full-length animated feature films ended years ago.

It's just not gonna happen guys.

That hardly indicates a standard. Of course they'd make a movie for that: it's Star Wars. Prime is more along the lines of typical cable cartoon action shows. Basically, Lucas says 'jump' and execs say 'how high?' Paramount says 'jump' and Hasbro says 'how high?'

The franchise has pull, but not Star Wars-level pull. I'm sure Hasbro wants that eventually, but it's a long hard road to get it.

True, but last time I checked Transformers was a multi million dollar movie franchise, so I'd assume Paramount would want another Transformers movie in cinemas to keep the money flowing. Plus, Hasbro could use a TFP movie as a way to get people into TFP and advertise the next live action Transformers Movie, whatever it may be.

Oh geez, it takes them long enough to make 1 episode, making a whole movie would take them forever! :lol

But Im all for a movie if they make one.

I can see it now. Transformers Prime: My Two Bots

Someone should make a TF Prime music video to Kellie Pickler's "Red High Heels" song or whatever it's called.

In my opinion, if it's only an hour long, it's not a movie. FOX always craps out shows that have episodes longer than that. And if a TF: P movie is in the works, I can only see it as a prequel. People aren't gonna pay to see a movie of a continuation of something they've probably never watched.
