This commission was completed with some very unique requests from the commissioner. This is the first of 2 Megatron's I am finishing up this week, both of which will be very different. This is my fourth "Blood of Unicron" version of Transformers Prime Megatron. This one is very different from my other versions as the commissioner wanted to push my abilities to the limit. Not only did he ask me to do the blood of Unicorn/dark energon effect, but he wanted me to attempt the energon veins like in this picture:

I gave this one a ultra flat, weathered paint job with a whole new electronics set up. This Megatron features dual high intensity water clear purple LEDs in his head and chest, as will as four total LEDs in each forearm. All batteries are easily accessible and replaceable and operated by hidden micro switches. All 3 areas of LEDs can be operated simultaneously or individually.

The figure was also given a slight leg and foot modification to increase the overall height by 1/2" or so so he sizes well with TFP FE Prime. This Megatron also features a detachable blade and a completely scratch built and modified fusion cannon that better resembles his on screen version which was provided by Thinktank. This cannon has a super high intensity purple LED installed and operated by a hidden micro switch as well.

The unique aspect of this figure are the energon veins.... these were one of the most nerve wracking aspects of a custom I have ever done. The were achieved by using the thinnest pin striping tape in the world, they cutting it is half while looking through a magnifying glass! I think they came out very good with the space and limitations this mold provides. Anyway.... enough of my blabber:

As always a full gallery can be seen on my facebook page:

Very cool, nice veins effect! Masking is the most dreadful thing but really pays off well if done correctly as you have done for ol' meggie!

Man...This is the kind of figure I would like to own. Most excellent work Z.

Yeah, that's what I'd like to know as well. Care to tell the specifics?

    MBT's cannon lookin' good painted!

And no, I don't think this is your limit yet. Don't shortchange yourself. :3

Everyone loves making Megatron silver, but this is the only paintjob where I've seen it done accurately. Excellent work, man. Spot-on to the show.

Looks like it jumped right outta the TV >.> Bravo sir, bravo.

But I'm in the same boat with the "How'd you make him taller?" people. Scale is the only thing keeping me from getting FE Prime. I'd love to make my Megs taller.
