very cool! Thanks for the link
I'm tempted to pick up a set of those, too. His stuff is just amazing.
Any ideas when this reprolabels set will be available for purchase, Formula?
I've heard wednesday. But don't hold me to that!
On another note, I just got Hegemon in the mail today. Besides the horrible floppy hip panels, he's pretty awesome. Anxious to get started on a set for him!
What are you waiting for?? Go buy these now!!
Plus, stickers for BOTH versions of Bulkhead!
holy crap! I was anticipating Knockout and Ratchet. now Bulkhead?
ohhhh boy... I need to get my wallet to the ICU soon. looks like it's gonna bleed to death real soon.
I've got both versions of Bulkhead on the way. Excited to apply those sets!
Will there be any plans for a sticker set for the Vehicon figures?
The TakaraTomy one is in need of some extra details.
Some ideas have been tossed around, yeah.
FYI; for anyone potentially thinking about picking up this set (specifically the Knockout pieces), the sticker sheet has serious problems. I received mine recently and am completely unable to get the stickers to pull free from the plastic sheets. I have a feeling the normal die-cut process/printing method is faulty based on the sheet material. Normally the sheets are a paper material, but these appear to be plastic, which may be inteferring with a smooth 'pull-off' of the individual stickers. For instance; I completely destroyed one of the window stickers attempting to free it from the sheet. Normally you pinch the sheet around the shape and then either pull it free the rest of the way with an exacto-knife or a finger, but these won't allow such smooth removal. Multiple attempts on all three sheets at different places yields the same result= nadda.
I've sent an email to reprolabels to get a replacement, but thus far no reply. We'll see what they're willing to do to rectify.
The plastic-like quality is due to them bein made of vinyl.
Sorry, vinyl is what I should have called the material and thank you Soy for the correction. Regardless the effect is the same- can't get the stickers off!
Man... I might have to get a 3rd Knock out and use these on him. I have the AM Knockout and with a bit of silver and gold sharpie he looks great. I did the same to the hasbro one but also did a layer or red over the whole figure to tone down that maroon and it made him a little shinier.
As they're getting ready for TFCon this weekend, it may be a few days before they can get back to you. But based on their track record, you have nothing to worry about.
April emailed me back today and has sent a replacement set, so all is well. Let's just hope the vinyl 'cut' is better on this one.
These make him look better, but even the Reprolabels can't make Knock Out look as good as he deserves to. Hasbro's fault, not yours.
These are not die cut, they are cut using a vinyl plotter. (think tiny precision exacto) Most likely you either got the last set before they cahnged out the blade or they had the setting wrong for the weight of the vinyl. Happens all the time in the sign industry. Reprolabels has fantastic customer service and i'm sure they will get you fixed up as soon as they can.
Thank you so much for the insight. I had zero idea how these were printed and cut until you mentioned it and only tried my best to describe the problem mine had the best I could. Yes, let's hope mine was a fluke. If not you know I'll be back here to mention it.
