Long time lurker, first time custom. My son collects Transformers Prime Cyberverse toys and I can't help but notice the disparity between autobots and decepticons. A couple weeks ago I picked up Ultra Magnus while at Wal-Mart and when I brought it home and immediately thought how easy it would be to turn him into Motormaster.

Long story short I picked up another Magnus and I thought I'd dive in and try my first custom. A little trimming and a small bit of styrene on his head, a Rit Dye bath and some detail painting later this is where I am.

I still need to touch up a few places, add a second coat of paint to some others and seal the paint. I also plan to build a box for the back of his vehicle mode to peg in where the hammer/gun goes.

The most recent paint is still drying so this is the only shot I can take right now. Using the dye I was able to retain the see-through light piping gimmick of the toy but dyed it purple.

The pic was taken with my iPhone so it's not the best, but you get the idea.

    Honestly... it works. Good stuff.

TBH, the 'Bot/'Con ratio almost always favor the 'Bots. Really, you'd have to collect from different lines to make your 'Con army even match the Autobots.

I wouldn't see why not. Could probably do it a lot cleaner than dealing with the small scale of Cyberverse.

Thanks! I'm looking for a fairly large sword that will fit his hand nicely. Also I think I can make the "box" for his vehicle mode out of a hot wheels trailer I found in the bottom of my son's toy box... as soon as I find my Dremel.
