Nice add on. I'm debating on getting him for a custom. Would definitely get this on top of doing a bull horn delete from the hood. Nice work.

Yes please. If not too much I'd be down for two sets at least.

I would buy set depending on how much they would cost.

I think you mean a 1970 Challenger. takarei

I think you could flatten the cas cap so It's flush with the plastic, and maybe cast from or offer as Frosted Ultra Detail for easier smoothing.

Wow, I never expected such a positive response! I'll try to answer some questions in the thread without quoting the whole thread.

1.) "Why didn't you print frosted ultra detail?" Kinda surprised to get this question honestly. In the first post, I mentioned that I only printed the black detail ( pictured ) to test the fit. I printed them in frosted ultra detail as well for casting.

2.) "Why not just put them up on Shapeways so we can buy from there?" Multiple reasons. My original plan was to do a cast regardless as I wanted it as smooth as FUD, but in black plastic. No painting would be involved for the antenna, and only have to add silver to the gas cap. By using FUD, I'd have to paint everything. I only asked if anyone else would want one because I figured I could just cast a handful extra since I'd already have a mold. Never expected this many people to want a set. The other reason is cost. For FUD, the cost to print was $5.77 plus $6.50 for shipping. That's what I paid. However, by casting multiples of them, I should be able to sell them for around $6.50 shipped ( in the US ) total. Whether or not that includes silver paint, I'll have to wait to see how much trouble it is to paint them.

3.) "Can you flatten the cap to make it flush with the car?" I made the plug a bit too long, so it's in as far as it can go now. I plan to cut it shorter so it can push in farther. If a person ( either me or you ) trims the handle and hinge on the cap a bit, it should be able to slide further into the hole.

4.) "Can you do something about his arms?" Unfortunately, no. It'd be easier to just design a whole new toy, or track down the First Edition.

Thanks again to everyone complimenting this. I plan to make a mold of the Frosted Ultra Detail this weekend and show off some painted casts. Then if everyone likes what they see, I'll start taking orders.

I must have misunderstood your FUD/Black copies as just the black for now. I kinda thought that we might need to trim it ourselves.

Idea; a second version with Nitro bumblebee size insignia on the cap! :p

Neat. Might have to bite on this for my RiD CJ (who's destined to become a repainted Tailgate since I already have an FE CJ).

I'd do it, I don't quite like the fake headlight on cliffcharger's torso, but I think these would make him just right.

Sorry, I've been busy the last couple of weeks with life stuff. Haven't had a chance to dig my Allumilite out and make a mold. Gonna try to make time for it soon.
