I was looking at the Autobot Insignia today and thinking about the characters designs in Transformers Prime and it occurred to me that why does the Autobot insignia still have a nose when non of the characters do so I made a new Autobot Insignia to represent the characters of Transformers Prime. I know it's not really in continuity but that's why it's called FAN art.

"Me Grimlock, Me better looking than Optimus Prime, even without a nose"

You could color in the optics/nose with black.. Autobots wear their sun glasses at night kind of thing

I went ahead and did some more anti nose insignias inspired by Transformers Prime.

Not bad. The Wreckers one doesn't look right without the hammer's handle, though.

Weird idea, but surprisingly effective, especially with the Protector insignia.

That looks... realy freaking cool actualy. Less weird robot face, more like a real logo.

I wouldn't complain if they changed the classic one to that.

All the older Transformers have noses and it's kinda hit and miss with Animated but this was mostly inspired by Transformers Prime.

It genuinely looks nice like that.
I actually thought a similar thing with the movies and Animated, that the logos just didn't work for them because of the insignias relative blockyness. The movie design tends to be jagged and "junky" while the Animated design is angular or rounded, so neither logo seemed to fit either continuity. It just makes me wonder why not re work the logo for each of these continuities, hell it worked with G2 and the Beast era why can't it work for Prime onward.

There are many different variations of the Autobot and Decepticon insignias for different reasons but the Beast Era actually had entirely new insignias as they weren't Autobots and Decepticons at that time. They were Maximals and Predacons.

The Maximals have two different variations of their insignia, one for the Beast Wars and another for Beast Machines.

The Predacons for Beast Machines were replaced by Vehicons so no new insignia for them but the Vehicons got their own insignia which was never seen again before or after Beast Machines.

Autobots/Maximals and Decepticons/Predacons would of had another insignia for the Transtech line if it hadn't been canceled. I kinda want to know how they were planing on bringing back several characters from G1 and the Beast Era who were already dead at that point as Transtech was ment to follow that same continuity.

From what I know, Transtech was going to be an attempt to bridge the gap between G1 and Beast Wars, so for the Beast era characters it would have been a prequel, and the G1 named characters were either surviving bots or new bots who took the names of dead bots (kinda like BW Megatron taking on the name of G1 Megs).

Odd, if it was meant to be set before Beast Wars why have the Beast Machines style designs to it? I mean Transtech Cheetor's robot mode looks very much like his Beast Machines design with a oddly organic looking car mode. I just thought that after the reformatting of Cybertron all it's inhabitants who might of been vehicles rather than taking on Beast Modes ended up with their same vehicle modes but with a more organic look to them. That's kind of what the Transtech designs look like to me is organic style vehicles which I think would fit in perfectly after the events of Beast Machines.

Before, I think Dawn of the Future's Past is a much better prequel in terms of design. They look more like they simply scanned new alt modes rather than a completely reformatted look from their original Beast Wars appearances.
