Clip show or not it will still be interesting to hear how Fowler tries to explain/ present the bots to his head of operations. Just from the glimpse that was given it seems as though there is a surprisingly big disconnect between Fowler and said military head honcho. Ie, they clearly have two drastically dissimilar opinions/ perspectives of the bots even though they're supposedly on the same side...hmm...

In any case, did said military big-wig that Fowler's reporting to sound familiar to anyone? Almost like Captain Fanzone a la TFA, only with a deeper voice and less pronounced accent? Because that would be awesome if it was the same actor...

I'd say to save the flashbacks for an Arcee/Cliffjumper episode, but we all know how they'd fuck up that episode. And no, I'm not talking about the Rock.

are we sure that this isn't going to be an episode where the episode is new.. but fowler is commentating it from wherever the end of the episode is going to lead.. if that makes any sense.

Anyway it doens't look too great but hopefully the content and the way they show the clips will make up for it. Hopefully they may tell how the Autobots arrived to Earth.

 

Miko's whoa and Nevverrr bothered me more than the fact of this being a clip show. Most recent shows like this have at least one probably for financial reasons.

 

Even though I hate clip shows, at least this one serves a purpose; debating on what to do with Team Prime. Other ones just were like "Oh, yeah, remember that time when" and so on so forth.

 

Well, they were right about Nemesis Prime, so....

 

On the other hand, the episode descriptions for Partners and Crossfire didn't exactly spoil the whole episodes either. With TFP, it's a crapshoot anyway.

 

Crossfire was definitely the surprise of the season, which I think is the reason I enjoyed it so much more than just about everything else so far.

But you have to admit that a good portion of this season has been fans saying, "X would be so predictable; whatever the writers decide to do, I kind of hope it's not X," followed by the episode doing X. The parts of the season many people seem to like most are the isolated surprises in a lot of otherwise predictable, by-the-numbers (but serviceable) episodes.

Ironically, the one episode this season that did feature nearly wall-to-wall surprises, Crossfire, seems to have divided audiences, so who knows.

 

Yeah, when I heard the promo I thought the same thing. I bet it is the same guy.

Ugh. That scene makes me cringe. I think they were trying to make that a comedic moment between Miko and Megatron, but it falls flat every time I hear it. Not the best scene in TF: Prime's short history.

 

If ever a Transformers show evidently needed a clip show to give the animators some breathing room in their schedules, history would indicate Prime is certainly that show.

I really don't mind it being a clip show. In fact, I look forward to it.

 

I hope there is at least some new footage to this.

 

Sounds like its going to shed light on the relationship the 'Bots have with the military. I wouldn't mind seeing that at all.
