I think that you are both right
Hopefully. I just wish they were more... timely about it? Like I wish there were a time frame that they'd stick to. (like every 5 months or so for a restock)
The retail around me is known to not even restock milk sometimes though; even with a distribution center literally a mile away from them.
Guys the hoverboard mode is mostly a joke mode from the designer that Hasbro liked and decided to make official. It's an official fan mode. Don't over criticise it.
THIS is what I was trying to get at! He needs it for Beast Mode (mainly referring to Transmetal Optimus Primal).
Then so does optimal optimus
For travelling longer distances, jet mode would work. For Transmetal Primal, the hoverboard is for that.
All he needs is a giant wheel in between his hands and some wheels on his legs and he'd be all set! Hopefully a 3rd party company can get on that.
I'd be surprised if Perfect Effect at least didn't make a new core Primal figure that does all that, Considering people here are wishing that he'd be a gorilla rather then a cargo ship it'd be a no brainer and it'd be a way to help kickstart 3rd party upgrades for BW characters.
Ah post deletion, something that shouldn't be needed but yet here I am. The surfboard was probably an homage to Transmetal Primal and this figure is probably designed as a triple homage to BW Primal(season 1 Primal that turns into a surfboard to homage TM Primal and combines with the Optimal Optimus body to evolve into Optimal Optimus). There's no real world logic behind the surfboard beyond being an homage and there doesn't have to be, it's a toy.
I am glad that the body for Optimal Optimus actually does something aside from just turning into a prime body unlike Rodimus/Optimus trailers from the previous waves.
Need this toy since I have not been buying TFs in awhile. Im actually in the midst of purging my collection..buy oh well. Lol.
wow.. this thing doesn't even have the back cannon like the original Op Op??
This and PotP Wreck Gar, along with the last few Prime Masters I have yet to get, will cap off my Transformers collecting save for a few occasional buys if a character that hasn't yet been done to my satisfaction should pop up. (E.g. a remold of PotP Optimus into PMOP, a G2 Dreadwing will full gimmick incorporation, A more G1 toon Jazz, or something crazy like Skyhammer which is a bit of a pipe dream for me lol.) I'm streamlining my collection and satisfied with what I have on my shelves. But this Primal will still be mine.
Rodimus actually has two fan modes you can do. One is a throne for Hot Rod (better for the Unicronus version), and a mounted cannon mode, which makes it look like Hot Rod is manning a turret.
It actually makes both versions of the figure amazing since you have a legitimate 5 ways you can display it. And that’s without taking articulation into account. It’s a must have, IMO.
Word on the street is Op Op has been seen in a couple of Big W's here in Australia. They've got a Toy Sale starting on Thursday with Leaders at $68.
It does, they're just optional attachments.
Optional attachments, or OPTIMAL attachments?
*rolls newspaper and whacks you*
Door is that way.
Emgo's review, the ending is hilarious.
Fan modes, not official, though the artillery platform seems like it may have been an intentional mode to homage G1.
In any case, Primal wins points for having the evolved body do more than just lay there to the side as a trailer.
Doesn’t change the fact that it’s there. The only difference between a fan mode and an official mode is the fact that Hasbro didn’t think of it.
I tried a Ground Assault (Tank) mode:
I hope a third party creates some wheels for this.
