Hi There, I've just moved house and I've got a bit more space on the wall - which I figured could be put to good use with a nice big Transformers poster. I remeber Dreamwave did a bunch of quite cool lithographs but I couldn't find anywhere, including eBay, that still sold them. In fact I couldn't even find a definitive image gallery of them. I'm thinking I'd kind of prefer the mega lithograph but I don't really like the promience of Sunstorm and the fembots. What I'd really like is nice big quality poster of this original box art scene: http://www.tfw2005.com/gallery/data/1094/medium/tf_wp_g1_1_1024.jpg But I'm not aware that was ever released as a poster. If anyone can help I'd be much obliged. Thanks!
I don't think so. But some fans on here are selling a really cool poster of the toys. http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/showthread.php?t=122282
Thanks for your reply, but it really was painted art I was after. Can anyone else help? At least with a list/gallery of Dreamwave lithographs? Thanks.
I believe Hasbro and Takara have a version of the art you posted on their website as wallpaper-sized images. You could always have the images reproduced at Kinko's at poster-sized dimensions (24x36 or smaller.) I did that with a Star Trek poster I couldn't find in the US for lower than several hundred, and it's a nice alternative if you're really in love with one particular image.
That poster does exist, they used to be for sale here in TRU and K-mart etc. I can't find a place to get them online at the moment though, but they do exist. Cost about $7.50 - $10 US from memory.
Once you have it, the megalitho's faults are GREATLY outweighed by it's amazingness. It's my favourte "Where's Waldo?", but with Transformers. You won't regret it.
You can get it here. http://www.backstreet-merch.com/stores/see/artist.asp?id=tran Ships from the UK. Prices available in Pounds Sterling, US and Canadian $ and Euros.
I can just about print anything at any size..(thanks for posting my poster sale page too! ) If you need anything, let me know!
