The only problem with this movie isn't the fact that it won't do well at the box office - it will - the problem is it's shite.

Don't get me wrong, watching Optimus Prime kick ass is great. But it doesn't stop this movie being poorly paced, disjointed and well, not very good.

You know a movie is dodgy when one of the characrters has to explain the plot in a chunk of dialogue. When they have to do it 3/4 of the way through a 2 1/2 hour film, you're in trouble.

1st film was way better. This was a real dissapointment, whilst there's enough in it to make you smile if you're a Transformers fan, for the non-fan it's not a good film.

And how do you know it won't do well in box office. Don't assume that it's going to bomb.

Also you don't know something is shite until you've seen it, and then its too late and they already have your money.

I think he was saying that this movie will have no trouble making money but the problem is that the movie is poop.

At least someone actually READ my post.

Yeah, I have seen the film here in London. It's pants.

There is one REALLY great sequence, but I don't want to do spoilers here, as it's not out in the US yet.

Suffice it to say, the pacing, plot and a lot of the acting is plain awful. It jumps all over the place. Things happen with no real point or explanation. It is NOT a good film. It's a dis-jointed mess.

MANY characters are criminally underused as well.

Hey, you're Transformers fans - you will enjoy a good few things about this film (won't say what as I don't want to spoil), but is it a good film?

    No.

Well, no I haven't been reading other posts - I went and ACTUALLY WATCHED the movie.

I find that's the best way to form an opinion about something, as a rule.

I don't know, sounds like anti-movie thinking to me.

Think I'll wait until I can rent the blu-ray... Or if I get really bored I'll go see it near the end of it's run.

Or hell, I might download it.

If you're gonna see, might as well see it at the cinema.

It is essentially 2 1/2 of special effects randomly bundled together, after all. Might as well see them on the biggest screen possible.

is it just me, or does 800+ screens seem like an awfully small amount for the UK and Japan combined?

Can't speak for Japan, but 517 isn't a small amount for the UK at all.

That's because they're very small countries.

Certainly not Japan, at around 127 million it's the 10th most populated country in the world. At 61 million, the UK is the 22nd.
