Announced at SDCC, a miniseries starting early next year that pics up where ROTF left off: Comics Continuum by Rob Allstetter: Thursday, July 23, 2009
oooh, and then it can be erased from existence when the third movie comes out and invalidates the whole thing.
As long as it's a good story involving the Autobots (including Jolt, Arcee, Sideswipe, and Ratchet, please), then I'm game.
Saw that coming... animating the movieverse seems too obvious to pass up. I guess they can explain away all the plot holes people have complained about.. eh?
Huh? Dude, it's a comic. As has been raised, I would be a lot more interested in this if historical precedent hadn't already shown that this comic is likely to mean bugger all when TF3 comes out, both in terms of character and plot progression. Still, might be fun while it lasts.
Hrm... I saw miniseries and assumed cartoon for some reason. This clarification brings back my hopes of a non-movieverse cartoon in the near future! (although doubtful until that Hasbro channel gets off the ground).
Oh yay, Furmans writing it... So far, the plot line doesn't sound incredibly exciting. I will check it out but I doubt it'll surpass Reign of Starscream.
Interesting... a new organization with nefarious designs on the Transformers... I wonder... could it possibly be a sign as to what might happen in Movie #3?
I doubt it, this definitely isn't a prequel, so it won't have any ramifications whatsoever for TF3. It may even contradict it at points. But I don't care, more movieverse fiction is good IMO.
I'll pick up the trade eventually...maybe. IDW's Movie franchise stuff has been decent, and as long as it's a good story I'll be happy, but comics/trades just aren't a good enough value for the money any more and, by the time this hits trade, I'll likely be out of comic collecting entirely.
I have figured out what the entire plot of this series will be. It was mentioned in TF ROTF. The part about the TF`s not sharing there technology with the humans. My bet is that this Organisation will be one that has captured one of the robots and used there weapons to benifit the army. Basicly Evil group captures robot, Takes him apart or examines him then creates weapons. This would be a nice change from the Decepticons it could also be quickly done and resolved just as quickly without any problems. The main problem though is political views but i dont suppose anyone will notice
That cover sucks ass. He just painted the old BB promo shot from the first movie. I have that pic on my lunch box. Primes pose looks familiar too. What a horrible idea to do a story about humans. the thing everybody wants less of in the movie verse
