Unsure of exactly where to post this really. So if a nice admin could redirect it would be much obliged.

Amazon and some other online retailers don't have the Transformers games listed for pre-order as of yet. However some online gaming stores like Cduniverse do:

    Transformers-Autobots & Transformers-Decepticons

games for the Nintendo DS at their site.

The Wii version is listed at their site as is the XBox 360 version.

All four are up for pre-order and have the release date of June 23rd.

While not saying much about the game itself, the listing does classify the games are under "action/adventure" as well as "portable movies".

I wonder if you have to move the Wii controller a bunch of different ways to transform.

I doubt it. I can't really see anyone trying to train Optimus or Megs to sit, lay down, or roll over can you?

Ugh. I simply can't be optimistic. Activision + movie games has not spelled instant success often. I can only hope.

The whole DS thing with "Transformers-Autobots" and "Transformers-Decepticons" has me thinking that the games will be basically the same with some minor character differences like the bazillion multiple-versions of each Pokemon incarnation or the Megaman NT series or Nintendogs.

Oh and if you do a search by publisher you can see that they are also planning a PS3, PS2, and PSP version of the game so no system is being left out (unless you want to consider the Gamecube or original XBox both of which are for all intents dead and replaced).

Either way, I doubt that the 360, PS2, PS3, PSP, and Wii versions will be very different from one another (besides graphically, and the Wii version will feature "enhanced Wii-mote controls"). Until I read some previews and see some pics which indicate that at least an Transformers Armada game level of quality I'm not even going to be very positive about these. Besides we all know that they will hit the bargain bin in less than a year like most licensed games.

On the flip side it is possible they will surprise us, a TF game in the vein of X-Men Legends or a free roaming game like Spider Man 2 may not be too bad overall, maybe not worth $50, but fun for a rental or $15-20 purchase.

Yeah, Ditto on that. I am not buying a Wii for that. A 360 maybe, but I do hope it's coming to PS3 also

lol... you are gonna wash and play with the transformers... throw them a bone... brush their hair XD

maybe its like Pokemon... where you are a part of sector 7 going around cathcing and trading the Transformers... it would be AWESOME!

But I REALLY hope that it is a FPS... especially on the Wii.. I have one and realy wanted a good FPS but Red Steel and FarCry sucked my bawls.... Yeah I want a really awesome FPS on the Wii... and a Transformers FPS would just be amazing!

Interesting, but the FPS controls would be hard to translate to the vehicle mode don't you think?

Please provide the link from which you gained that information. The Microsoft and Nintendo entries are easy enough to find, but I can't find anything on a Transformers game for any Sony system -odd considering the PS2 has the largest user base in the world.

    EDIT:
Here is a link that seems to indicate a PS3 release.

Knowing activision and the general trend of movie games, they won't do a FPS, as they generally are unpopular on consoles and don't show off the licensed characters. Third-person is garanteed.

Didn't some early news mention a GTA-like? I don't mean the car-jacking bit ;P, but free-roaming around an area and getting missions.

Not really...you can turn the remote on the side and you have a driving wheel.

Ironicly those are the consoles I own..now which to choose...

Wii gets my vote most likely...<3

I can just see it as ending up being some of the funniest games to see someone play it.

Plus what would the fun be if it was FPS when you can't see you as the giant robot transforming? Now if it had switchable viewing angles that would be cool.
