The work required in order to fake a hardcopy like that would be quite expensive on its own, although probably not $1000 expensive. If it's real, and odds are it is, it may be too expensive, but then I don't collect hardcopies of anything.

    Looks like a candle.
I want a Scorponok candle, but not a $1000 Scorponok candle.

I don't think it's a hardcopy. It looks to be just a pre production proto. I think its just cast in the milky white plastic. Most of the hardcopies I see for the newer stuff, are sprayed in gray primer. Also, I believe there is a member here who has one just like that and it's plastic. But if it is made out of resin, it's a hardcopy. Also the part of the tail is throwing me off

Man I totally mis-read the first post I thought this was for a G1 Scorpy and I was wondering why people were saying it wasn't worth $1000. Now that I see that it's from the movie it's definitely not worth $1000, to me anyways

I don't think it's worth that much to anyone. I would honestly be very surprised if someone buys that.
I personally don't know a whole lot about the whole hardcopy tf market, but $1000 seems like a bit much to ask for such a recent mold. And especially not even a very good one; or at least not a very interesting one that someone could brag about owning. Which is the whole point of hardcopy collecting I'd assume.

damn people, there is a best offer option on it for pete's sake. I cant see why none of you see that, all you see is the 1k asking price-get over it.

I'm not knocking the price, I'm just saying it claims to be a hardcopy and it's clearly not

I don't think the Best Offer was there when it was first posted. Also, a BIN that high usually means the seller expects to get a lot of money for the thing, not significantly less. Doubt he'd accept a $100 or $200 offer, which is perhaps a better estimate of its value.

As for the hardcopy stuff, the seller is using the incorrect term to describe this then, correct?

$2.50 Hows that for a best offer?

I think most of us are commenting on the fact that even if there is a best offer option up, the seller still has the buy now at $1000, indicating that they apparently think this thing is a real find. I just think that's a little crazy. Especially if it's not really a hardcopy as some are saying.

the best offer was there when it was listed, I saw this last night a the BO was there. I agree the seller is wrong with the hardcopy listing, but believe me when I say its an honest mistake and he's not out to scam anyone. He's a trusted friend and and also a member here. There are plenty of fucked up listings on ebay where people want tons of money for bullshit. This auction isnt one of them.

    Thanks D.

The auction has been updated with title + description revisions. I honestly thought this was a hardcopy as that is what it was represented as when I bought it.
I should have asked Malach Ra before listing this for help in identifying it as a hardcopy, or prototype. My mistake.

As far as everyone's interpretation of the value......I will sell this item for what it is worth to me. If no one else thinks it is worth it, I will be happy to keep it.

Every time I list an item that is perceived as high-dollar or overpriced, there are plenty of people that post shitty comments about it only being worth a fraction of what I am asking. I am used to it.

The kinds of items I usually sell are marketed to a particular type of collector. If you are not that type of collector, just enjoy the pictures:)

Until the next time......keep dumpster diving, flea market farming, and garage sale grazing in hopes of finding that personal grail of yours.

    Thanks Kids!!!
