A few days ago we had a report of the Movie Robot Heroes surfacing at retail, and there have been a number of pictures floating around since Botcon... but fate8.blogspot.com brings us some nice detailed shots of these guys in and out of package, including individual and a group shot.

    Awww....

    "Pwepare fuh wedgies, Autobots!"

    "Nevah, Megatwon!"

Doubt I'll get them myself, since I will probably stick to the G1 releases.

I think Ratchet and Blackout come together...if so I may get those but that will be it...hopefully the RH line keeps moving along nicely after these...

These don't look as good as the G1s...The movie bots are scary looking to begin with. You can't put smiles on them!

    Very cool! Love Frenzy's grin.

Can't wait to get them. Hopefully they'll make their way here.

I feel there should be a Starscream/ Ironhide pack as well...or will they just save those, and make them store exclusives?

The second wave is set to include Bonecrusher, Brawl, Ironhide, Optimus Prime (2nd version w/ sword), Scorponok, and Starscream.

Not sure who they'll be paired with, though... although the Prime w/ sword and Bonecrusher would be appropriate!

Agreed. And with the 'complex' body designs of the movie characters, most of these end up looking like blobs of plastic with heads.

Blackout looks like hell from that angle. It looks like a blob is humping the back of his neck.

Cool, but I'll stick to the G1 Robot Heroes! I would love a G1 Prowl, Bluestreak, Sunstreaker, Sideswipe, Smokescreen, or Ironhide!

The movie designs barely...BARELY work as mainline transforming toys, they don't work in this format at all.

I dunno, they seem to fail to capture the "cuteness" of the previous Robot Heroes, but they're not too bad on their own terms.

I hate to disappoint you, but I believe it's:

    OP/Blackout
    Ratchet/Megatron
    Jazz/Frenzy
    Bumblebee/Barricade

I picked these up last night at walmart, and my son who is too young to play with real transforming toys loves these little guys. That's what they're made for, shelf collectors aren't the target audience. My son is 1 1/2 and still too young for even cyberslammers, but I am getting some of those for the same reason, he'll play with them before he gets his hands on the really good stuff. I do not like the slammers at all, but I am not target audience either. Go figure that a toy manufacturer makes toys targeted mostly for kids?
