All I can say is that hopefully this one will have better editing. I couldn't stand the amount of spelling/grammatical errors in his novels. I think Legends was the best so far in that regard.
what is the name of the book?
I wonder if it will be about the actual Transformers or about the humans.
Who wants to read about the humans before the events?
Sam was an ordinary movie teen.
Army guys did stuff.
That's who I thought it was. This is cool by me as I enjoyed that trilogy. Heven't gotten my mits on Legends though.
Hmm, could be interesting.
i like how this sounds, maybe they'll explain stuff about megatron's arrival, and what bumblebee was doing on earth before the actual events of the movie happen
Hrrm, I wonder if this will be following along the same plotline of IDW's movie prequel miniseries, or if it'll be something entirely different...
Not familiar with this author.....who is he? A fellow fan? I don't think I'd pick it up, being more of a comic TF kinda guy. I like to see my bots beat the hell out of each other, not read about 'em and see it in my head.
Additionally, if this guy really does need a spell checker/grammar editor, then I definitely wouldn't be able to get through it. I despise things like that in publications! It's mind-boggling how many things get by editors these days...sad, really...*checks post for mistakes due to sudden paranoia*
I'd heard awful things about the editing also, and I can't stand reading anything with choppy grammar and spelling. Authors who can write well are in short enough supply as it is, there's no excuse for not spell-checking.
This is one product I'll hold off on 'til the reviews are in.
Could be interesting.
I've read all 3 books of the trilogy, and I find that the spelling and grammatical errors aren't as bad as some people have made them about to be. In 300+ pages of each book there was maybe less than a dozen mess ups. Hardly worth worrying about IMO.
I did a few google searches and aside from the TF novels and a book called Mega War of the Worlds (which also has giant robots and got horrible reviews at Amazon), Cian really hasn't written much. You'd think they would go with a more established author for a movie prequel.
I'd argue 1 in a professionally edited and published book is unaceptable...
is this the same guy who wrote thos book that came out during the DW days? because i couldn't even get 1/2 way through the first one...
Hope he get's on the ball soon, the movie's less than a year away and it would be ideal to get the book out atleast a few months before.
As long as he already has the story planned out then cool. Don't want it rushed.
And use the spell check program on this one
I agree about the spelling/ grammar thing. I've been re-reading 'The Dark Tower' series lately, including a couple of my Donald M. Grant 1st editions (proibably the most expensive books I own), and every once in a while there's a misspelling or even a funny end-of-line word break that takes me out of the story. Heck, for a nominal fee, I'll edit the freaking thing.
Seriously, grammatical errors are bad enough in a so-called proffessionally published novel, but spelling mistakes? Who the hell is editing these books?
Yech. I'm not going near this with a ten foot pole if it involves anyone from those retched novels a few years back. I read on average about 100 books a year and I can say without equivocation that they're the worst books I've read in the last ten years.
Separate names with a comma.
