Is this avaible anywhere or is it a store exclusive somewhere?
Cool. I might get him, I might not. It'll come down to an in-person decision, mainly based on wether or not I have the money when I see him in the store.
It's a wide release. The only new premium figure that's a store exclusive is Deep Space Starscream, and all the others are wide releases.
Thanks for the info. Is the two pack Bumblebee ('76 and Concept) going to be an exclusive or wide release too?
It was a Target exclusive that showed up in October. You'll probably have trouble finding one anywhere other than the Junkion Exchange, eBay, BBTS, etc. at this point.
Other than the battle mask, what are the detailed differences here?
I love that battle mask. Would have been even better with battle damage. Still a must have at a sensible price.
Car mode (that I can tell): Windsheild wipers, gas nozzle, stripes are more accurate/detailed, brighter yellow as opposed to orange, door handles, more accurate gril/lights. (there may be differences on the back, but I can't see it)
Robot (that I can tell): Grey plastic vs. black, silver leg details, shoulder pad details, grey toes, brighter yellow.
Lots of differences/changes.
Looks good, don't know if I'll buy him.
So, looks like the black parts are now grey. Kind of indifferent about that. But the battlemask reeks of awesomeness.
I don't really see any differences in either mode, except for the grey limbs in place of black.
I definitely hope to get this, though I'm afraid that we'll end up going through another scalping fiasco.
EDIT: Beaten to the punch by Split Lip. And I was apparently wrong, too
The movie has been out of theaters for almost half a year now so please, Hasbro, stop re-releasing toys from lines that are dying or dead. Only the diehard collectors will buy repaints, most kids don't really care.
Animated is what everyone is waiting to see and you're going to wait until Summer for them to come out!?!? I have to question your marketting plans, Hasbro. You are releasing toys months later than they should be.
Tell it to the retailers -- I'm sure they're the ones who pushed for MOAR MOVIE PRODUCT.
Besides, it's not like the movie product tends to linger on shelves, at least in my experience. Well, except for Payload and some of the Real Gears.
EDIT: You beat me to it, Jarodimus.
I still want TF:A to hit shelves sooner. I really want Bulkhead, SS and Prime. (And LEADER MEGS!)
The kids that found the original toys won't care. The kids who missed out will. I encountered parents and kids who never found any of the Transformers they were looking for last year.
I can see your point but I didn't encounter that in my area. Whenever I went to TRU, Walmart, Kohls, etc. I always had parents asking me which characters to buy and there was never an issue of them being out. Even the '08 BBs were fairly abundant...at least where I looked.
Thanks for the list, my untrained eye just wrote the figure off as just "grey instead of black, new head". I'm not really liking the grey, but all those other details are making me seriously consider this figure.
And don't forget the FABs, I still see them warming pegs all over the place.
I'd pay 10 bucks for that head.
nice sig, pscoop, it goes with mine...maybe Hasbro's experiments with live animals isn't over
The more I like at it, the first Concept Camaro Bumblebee release is superior to this, I like the black limbs over grey. The only thing this one has going for it is the head, but even then I'm starting to think the former's is actually better.
