Die Hards going down! I mean how is that movie going to compete with Transformers and all the kids. We got the kids on our side. Besides, Die Hard and Bruce Willis are getting up there in the years.

*rumormongers that Bruce Willis hates Transformers*

Sorry, someone had to do it mockingly before it happened seriously. >.>

Anyway, that's pretty interesting. I'm probably gonna see both, myself.

See, now if they'd cast Bruce Willis as Optimus Prime like I wanted them to, this would have never happened. :p

    Hmm..
A generic action movie with Bruce.. or..
Giant robots beating each other up with everything, plus more, than what the other movie has to offer..

Very hard to chose from.. I'll go with TF. At least something like it has never been done before.

I should've worded it better. Transformers will never die, Did Hard...well it wont last that long. Theres no way that Die Hard will beat this in the Box Office. Not with the kids and the fans alone, and all the other people who dont know about it yet.

    Bruce or Bay?

    Simple!

Who will win the box office? I think Bruce will...I have heard numerous people say that the transformers look like ass....they were not people that post on transformer boards. Bay better show some bots with the new teaser!

Bruce Willis still looks like Bruce Willis. Optimus Prime looks like a Bionicle. Die Hard FTW.

You're forgeting that Die Hard is a big action movie franchise and that it's aimed at the same target audience as Transformers. John Mclane is also a character that's easy to relate to for most people. The story is simple enough for most people to follow. Over all it's going to be fighting Transformers for that very audience of the older crowd. I think more of the 35+ crowd will know Die Hard more and might be swayed more torward it. It's the third sequal with a popular actor staring in it that's roughly the age of the target audience. Hopefully for Transformers is if it can get enough of the younger market to bring those older ticket buyers in, it still will have a chance. This weekend with the theatrical release of the Transfomers teaser might give a better look at how it may do come July. It's going to be a fight at the box office for sure!

Oh and I mentioned that Die Hard was going to go up against Transformers yesterday. It's on yahoo's movie page. Just saying is all.

This has got to be the first time I recall such powerhouse movies debuting on the same day. Hell, July 4 is a Wednesday, so I'll see TF that day and Die Hard on Friday. I imagine a lot of people will want to see both.

Both will do well, but Transformers will win in the long run. No idea who will pull more opening weekend. New concept over 4th sequel.
