Wow, these are freaking incredible!!! Awesome paint apps and mods!! Prime and Ironhide in particular look fantastic!! Great choice of backdrop too!! Truely inspirational!!
Had to do a double take on Sentinel Prime. That paint job is amazing! What colors / paint types did you use for the face metal? It REALLY made it stand out, and looks to be some of the most movie realistic / match colors I have seen on these forums so far. Was it a mix? Edit: One other note. Those paint jobs show how well the modelers did when creating these amazing models/toys for the movies. Such a change from the G1 toys we had as a children.
Every single one of those looks amazing. My ONLY question is why you used the regular Deluxe Sideswipe instead of the Sidearm Sideswipe, which is a LOT more accurate. Overall, though, I'm incredibly impressed, and you've given me a few ideas for my own figures.
Thank you so much for all of the compliments, I used a silver, dark chrome, and a hint of Gold to bring out Sentinels Metals. He was a challenge to get his Lack of a paint job Head to look like the CGI render being as how he has kind of a bug-eyed look in the figure. So I cut off his head Added that beard- goatee thingie and darkened around his eyes to make him look more menacing!! Now the blue LEDS show up ALOT better!! The Metal paint were not mixed, But applied VERY carefully. And I couldnt agree w/ you more about the OUTSTANDING molds we get with these!! That way you can do em up as much as you want and it looks better and better rather than a crummy mold and there is only so much you can do with it...so all in all Hasbro's Sculptors are Winner!!! Thanks well I wanted to show the Paint apps can even make a figure that isnt spot on, look like it came straight from the Movie. Plus more remember Sideswipe for his Blades rather than his guns.....But Sidearm Sideswipe will be coming!! New Vehicle Mode Pix being Added: Check em out!!
did you resize the vehicle modes in photoshop or something for the alt mode pic?? I didn't think that the deluxe cars were so close to the leader class alt modes. either way, looks killer!! Lovin Ironhide with the voyager class weapons with out a doubt I am going to be doing that when I get a Leader IH.
