TFW2005 has received the following information about the design of Transformers Movie Jazz:

    Grey Body.
    Visor over eyes.
    Claw like fingers.
Design is similar to Optimus Prime and Bumblebee in that it has exposed gears, similar feet.
    Pontiac Solstice?
Front end of the car becomes his chest.

Thanks to Decepticon4Life for the report.

Sounds ok - but smells of damage control after the recent Megatron gaff.

Interesting. But I agree... it sounds like damage control at this point...

I guess the (leaked) script was wrong when it said EXOTIC car then.

It cant be worse than Meagatron. I bet its not nearly as cool as the Alternator though.[IMG]

Alternators were what a lot of folks were hoping the design team would use as a starting point at least.

We can only hope it won't get worse. I guess on the bright side there's no direction to go but up. How's that for optimism?

Optimistic indeed. I dont mind the car choice. Porsche would have been better but I understand why it couldn't be a porsche. I hope their holding out on the Ford GT for Mirage in a later movie... that has a new director and follows the GI robots (alternators) a little closer. Oh well at least we have our toys.

Considering the production stage they're at, the designs likely been finalised for a while now. So no, I very much doubt this is damage control IF true.

    I wanna see pics.

I can already see the complaints now, though.
If people hate it, it's going to be 'vindication' that the entire movie is flawed.
If people LIKE it, they're going to want to demand that everyone else look like this.

All sounds cool , except for the claw-like fingers. I would change that. For the rest is okay and a swell choice of vehicle too , if the this is the car they have picked.

Sounds cool. Sounds like Jazz while continuing with the aesthetic of the movie designs so far.

What would Starscreams fingers be described as? Tongs, or Chopsticks?

    I'd describe them as claws.
Because apparently I'm one of the few who actually LOOKED at the pic and noticed that what everyone is pointing to as his hands are flippable guns of some sort, not his actual 'fingers'. You can actually see the joints for his claws.

No I wouldn't because I sold mine almost 8 months ago. I'd be pissed!

On a side note, I'm pretty sure that the Solstice can be considered exotic. It may not have been foreign in manufacture but most of it's design cues come from foreign cars.
