I'm hoping it's just transformed wrong, which would account for the prominent "robo-wang."

 

Man, when you thought nothing uglier then Armada Trust could come to existence... Dreadwing easily tops him in ugliness. No hands, like with his grandpa.

 

The smaller pics looked like a remold of armada thrust now I wish it was..... its not very appealing.

Oh well hopefully larger pics of movie Arcee will show soon now that this fellow has popped up.

 

Well, this is new one on me. Cant say I'm a total fan of the bot mode, except for the head, that's kinda cool.

As for being a 'normal' tf I don't think it would word in that capacity, but its a DRONE, and I think its a great representation of a drone character. You look at it and its got no personality whatsoever, and thats because its a drone. It's got odd proportions, but again because its a drone. I will actually pick this and Swindle up.

And yes, the legs could be better, but still it has enough strengths imo to warrant at the very least me squinting at it in a shop for a few minutes (before buying of course)

 

Its as bad as the movie scorpinox toy which is crap. This thing doesn't even look like it cann stand by itself without crushing itself.

 

I think it's awesome, because the head TOTALLY looks like a Gobot. Kick ass! Cockpit face FTW!

Who? I only know Scorponok and he doesn't look that bad since he combines with Blackout for super spinning claw action.

....Wow. I really hope that's mistransformed, because I'm not feeling it at all.

 

I love THRUST myself (and the SUNSTORM repaint) - He's one of the few I've kept. I always go for the 'quirky' looking TF's like him and MENASOR - Things that try and something a bit different & unusual with the concept.
Having said that, I prefer THRUST to this DREADWING, which is okay but flawed to me. As a 'drone' I guess it does the job though.

And why do these 'drones' have proper names (Or are all jet drones called DREADWING?)?

The robot mode looks pretty sorry. I do like the one eye thing though. He's got those teeny tiny little legs and those long arms.

 

This guy wouldn't be so bad if a) he were posed better and b) his lower body were proportionally larger and less spindly-looking.

But man, that gimpy lower body just destroys this figure. It's a shame... these drone figures (this one and Swindle) have great alt modes but their robot modes just feel like afterthoughts.

The lens-faces are annoying too. If they were movie-style faces, or classic TF-style faces, no problem! Either would be great. But having a giant monocular lens just looks lazy. Heck, even if they had a face BEHIND the lens it would be better!

I'll have to see these guys in person before determining if they're worth purchasing.

 

I'm going to say something positive, 'cause I was taught to not say anything if I have nothing positive to say:

Dreadwing's jet mode is A LOT better than Voyager Starscream's.

That's it. Moving on.
