These were posted up on Sibertron earlier today and nobody said anything about them here. I just wanted to show them to you guys to see what you all think of them.

    Block Figures:

    Magnet Heads:

The character head magnets have great detail! The block figures, not so much.
They could have made the block figures a little more detailed IMO. They also could have benefitted from more sculpted details and more painted areas instead of just printed decals for detailed areas and parts painted in just one color. I understand they were trying to go for a "block figure" look but it just looks funny. At least they have great articulation.

Ok, the magnets look real enough, but those block figures have got to be a joke. First off they look like they were kitbashed by a 9 year old kid. Second, which version of OP is pictured, G1 or the movie. And an Autobot???

Someone has got tobe having fun with Seibertron.

That's what I figured, but the company making these even has these items listed on their website.

And those magnets look too legit to be fake.

What do you mean by that?

Is it because Hasbro said "no" to block figures?

I meant because they look horrid rip-offs of Primus' block transformers, which hasbro had turned him down on, his were professionally done, and these are, for lack of a better word, laughable

They're listed on the site but I can't find any pic on it. Not even a placeholder.

Maybe the products themselves are legit, but I have doubts about this pics.

Either those are badly painted prototypes, or we've just seen the worst bit of movie merchandise yet.

And yeah, if they were going to do this concept, I'd take Primus' designs first, the MyClones a close second, and these a FAR distant third.

You are thinking either of the PVC figures or MyClone, neither of which are the same thing.

These are essentially clones of Minimates. Why Hasbro didn't use ART ASYLUM and it's known minimates brand is puzzling

MyClones are similar but there are some pretty specific differences. MyClones had molded faces, instead of paint app faces. IMO this is the biggest difference as painted faces can capture a more G1/cartoonish look whereas molded faces don't quite pull it off.

Also, MyClones has specific molds for their arms and legs (for the most part). The designs that Sledgehammer and I are doing (and these cheesy Chinese block figures) all come from the same molds, except for chest pieces and helmets. Everything else is cast from the same molds so as to keep the costs down.
