I have read several posts in relation to human casualties that just are not true.
Some people have gone so far as to say "lame -no people get killed".
    That is just not true.
Do not go into the movie expecting the humans to walk away with only their cars destroyed like in the cartoon.

You may want to consider that if you have a young child.
The violence to humans is not excessive or gory, but it does exist.

There are also some sexual references that may come up in later conversation.

Personally, I am going to take my six year old to see it.
The Autobots are heroes in every sense of the word and there are a lot of positives in the movie. Optimus Prime is the embodiment of courage and compassion that he should be.

Anyway, I can't argue an opinion, but I wanted to let people who have children know that the comments about there being no human casualties are not true.

If you post a reply, please keep this thread SPOILER FREE.
    Thanks.

I wouldn't take a young kid because of the swearing. At least no kid under 8 because by then they've heard everything possible on t.v.

Some kids in the cinema were crying...especially during the Megatron scene...I don't know if its coincidence or not. Can't say I blame them as Megs is really UGLY looking!

But if i had a kid, I won't bring him unless he/she is like 10-12...the swear words, the solider that was impaled by Scorponok and Sam's "happy time" discussion! XD

Yeah its all up to the individual, but I didn't want any parent to read the posts where people say nothing happens to the humans and think there is no violence against humans.

I read some of those and I was like "what movie did you watch?" but by that time, a reply is futile because I was 50 posts late.

Honesly, I think some of the people that have posted reviews and such really have not seen the movie yet.

There's a part where they talk about Sam in his room with the door locked, and say masturbating, and Sam's Happy Time.

Then Megan comes out from behind the desk.

    "Wow, you're gorgeous!"
    "Alright!"

    :lolol

I'm thankful humans die. It's always so unreal when giant robots fight in a narrow city and noone dies.

Power rangers was the worst at that.

    Ohhh... kay...

    ...gross.

Good grief, there are "fart", "poop" and "pee-pee" jokes in children's television on a regular basis these days.
I'm certainly not saying it's 'right' (it's not something I especially like!), but I don't think TRANSFORMERS can be singled out for them.

    I took three of my sons, 11, 9 and 6 (!!!)

If anything I think my 6 year old son was getting fidgety half way through the movie, and also teared up when S7 took down Bumblebee, he throughly enjoyed the movie though, he talked about Bumblebee and Optimus Prime the whole way home.

As far as the Masterbation jokes and such, he had no idea what they were talking about and it went right over his head.

I think this is a great thread. Brings back memories of all stupid parents who brough 5 year olds to see Jurassic Park. There were at least a dozen screaming crying kids dragged out of that movie when I saw it.

My 9 year old son and 7 year old daughter loved the movie. I didn't bring the 6 year old, or the 4 year old, as they tend to not sit through movies too well. They even have a hard time with kids movies.
