In a prelude to "Spotlight: Arcee" Those are homages (the third woman is a Klingon): it seems that Jhiaxus studied them for his project of introducing genders in the Transformers race (again, as reported in "Spotlight: Arcee").
The artwork is great, and the story is good. A bit weird, but good. Also, I was wondering why this bot had Animated Arcee's alt mode!

Arcee was a pimp who got own3d and turned into a shemale. Got it. Now excuse me as I have to go watch the 86 movie and the entire 3rd season again to erase this mosaic from my brain.
Don't blame the mosaic, blame Simon Furman (who created the above concept for IDW Arcee) and his near religious views against female transformers.
This definitely bothers me about the IDW universe - Arcee as a stark raving mad she-male is a waste of a perfectly good, and well-developed character. The change in direction of Hotrod's character from a reckless but otherwise noble character, to a clueless and cold bot is also pretty lame. Makes me appreciate G1 all that much more. Anyways, the art was beautiful in this mosaic.
The more I read what ideas Simon Furman introduced, the more I hate him. I'm glad I never followed the comics. The artwork is great in this mosaic.
