The Universe of the Transformers is vast, and populated by many characters. Their universe is a large tapestry, made up of the stories and points of view of countless experiences that serve the larger whole. These are some of those stories. This is: It should be noted that while this project has been recognized by IDW Publishing and Hasbro, none of the works presented have been commissioned or solicited by either company. The stories are not official canon, except where noted. These stories are the result of Transformers enthusiasts taking the time out of their busy days to contribute to a universe they love. No one has been paid for the production of these stories. Oh... oh wow. It says so much, with so few words and so few images. And it doesn't hurt that it's *beautiful*, either.
I love this visually striking elaboration of what is, despite its significance, a pretty straightforward moment. Surprisingly the one I liked the best was Perceptor, mostly due to the fact that he is a character who really doesn't get much focus, especially during and event like this. The design for prime feels remarkable faithful and the way his hands are drawn really invoke the 80's robot style. All that aside, still chuckled at Magnus, he's such a whiner.
Once in awhile a Mosaic rings out as a true and shining example of the promise and power of the project. This is such an example. Compelling and powerful story-telling concept. Perfectly brief and deeply poignant dialogue (monologues, really). Beautiful art that evokes the moment in the mythos (and the brand-history for that matter), as well as captures the mood. Just so well done. bravo. bravo. D/L
Love it... If there was ONE problem I had with it, it would be that Primes chest should be open, shouldn't it? Or did it close after he took the matrix out?
Thanks for the support guys, we're very proud of this piece. Don't think you ever saw it close in the movie, but it looks better this way
I've thoroughly enjoyed the Mosaic project over the years (Wow, it's hard to believe I can say that!). There have been some really awesome pieces and some pieces in which those involved have some areas to grow. ALL of them have been enjoyable. This piece, however, is the pinnacle of the project, in my honest opinion. This showcases everything this project is about - good stories, good artwork, good story-telling, and heartfelt fan appreciation for TRANSFORMERS. Absolutely, this is my favorite piece ever.
I absolutely Adore this one, is there any chance someone who knows a printing company could get large posters made of this. I know I would buy one in a heartbeat. It is just amazing!! Stixx
