The Universe of the Transformers is vast, and populated by many characters. Their universe is a large tapestry, made up of the stories and points of view of countless experiences that serve the larger whole.

These are some of those stories. This is:

It should be noted that while this project has been recognized by IDW Publishing and Hasbro, none of the works presented have been commissioned or solicited by either company. The stories are not official canon, except where noted. These stories are the result of Transformers enthusiasts taking the time out of their busy days to contribute to a universe they love. No one has been paid for the production of these stories.

I like the use of Micromasters, but I'm not feeling the art nor the story.

Sweet mosaic. With all the AHM stuff happening, I had nearly forgotten that there were two Cybertrons.

I've gotta say, this is definately one of your best, Mr M3Grimlock. It is self-contained but with enough outside references to enrich the reading of anyone who has read IDW stuff (but not NECESSARY to understand it) and it is a complete story, and raises some intriguing questions. More like this one please!

Notes for the "Behind the scenes" :D

The plot comes from a short novel by H.P. Lovecraft (and the title is the incipit of that novel).
The Micromasters' revolutionary concept/origin is Simon Furman's idea: he created this new take on a classic theme in "Spotlight: Nightbeat" and "Spotlight: Hardhead".
Plus, "Spotlight: Nightbeat" had a clear Lovecraftian feel.

I just had to put together all this stuff, paying a tribute to the greatness of these two writers.

The Organic Core comes from Beast Machines. It seemed just fitting, since I think that Furman was referencing this series, with his Gorlam Prime's evolution. (And in "Spotlight: Hot Rod" there is a Magnificence that sounds a bit like an Oracle).

Quite confused, actually. Apparently I've fallen behind on the modern continuity. I've been to absorbed with the G1 Japanese stuff. I should really try to catch up on what I missed... I have crystal-clear memories of hording Micromasters as a child. I should probably go and see what happened to em after Zone occurred. It probably doesn't help that I'm not familiar with Lovecraft's work - I've always been more of a writer than a reader.

"Far From Home" is not related to the japanese Micromasters... or the original Marvel US comics take.
It is based on their latest version written by Simon Furman for IDW (in "Spotlight: Nightbeat" and the "Revelation" books).
