I've been wracking my brains all day, trying to make sense of this scene, but that didn't even occur to me!

 

I also just noticed that Lug's transformation scheme is the exact same as Titans Return Rewind/Rumble. More points for the new artist!

 

Hmm? There's nothing about this scene that means it couldn't be taking place in the present day...

I\'m liking what I see so far.

 

Feeling a lot of this right now, though I find it harder to overlook things, which gives me a hard time with this. Obviously them lightening some of the more serious Lost Lighters up a bit is good, and literally part of the plot, but I think you hit the nail on the head on the voice thing.

I so desperately want to love this like I loved old MTMTE, but this preview was not what I needed. Will still sub and hope, and try to lower expectations a bit. It's still a good book, but MTMTE used to be something I'd wait up for until midnight to read as soon as it launched. After that six month stretch of nonsense in 2015, I stopped doing that. Now I sometimes don't read for days... or weeks.

I'm not sure if I'm longing for a book that only existed in rose-tinted nostalgia goggles or what.

Ok I have no idea who these bots are and I'm already not fond of them.

Let's be honest here, I don't think we need more OC's in MTMTE, it'd be better if they were obscure characters that existed already.

You're probably right XD there's nothing that supports or disapproves the theory but I've grown quite fond of the idea.

I can't explain it in anyway that makes sense, I just really like the thought of seeing how some of the Missing bots were rescued by the Necrobot.

 

It is kind of odd that there'd be a Decepticon in a Cybernought running around on Luna 2 at present, and we know that the moon was a major battleground that the Decepticons probably won. It wouldn't surprise me if that theory is correct.

 

i actually think you're right on the time period. they're talking about cybertron like the great war is still going on and they're weary about going home. in the present cybertron is welcoming it's past citizens back (it's no less dangerous of course) but they shouldn't fear coming back to cybertron if the war is over. much of the necrobot's secrets are yet to be explained and rodimus and crew have nothing left to really do since being exiled off the LL. and rung and nightbeat still have that mystery....i'm with you i think this is in the past.

 

Yeahh, I don\'t dislike these characters per se, but it does feel almost the exact same as the beginning of the revolution issue. In ehich it starts out kind of entertaining, but the joke just stretches on for too long and it begins to take you out of the story. 

 

Exactly, especially the first line. "You're probably wondering how I got in this mess." Um, no, not really, don't even know who you are and frankly, I really don't care.

 

I\'m mixed on these two. I kinda like them but I\'ve seen good points against them. Though I kinda feel a Sonic Boom (the cartoon) humor vibe from them. Anyone else getting that feeling?

I don't mind introducing new OC into the franchise. Long time ago everyone who's canon now was an OC coming from either Shooter, Budiansky or Furman.

However...

Not in a situation when Lost Light is filled to the brim with so many already existing characters who sit there unused. So many of them have effectively no personality and could be refurbished for more use.

 

I admit my first impression was that the protagonists were female. It looks like most people interpret them as male from the above posts.
That said, I really like the concept of a backpack-former working as an assistant tool handler, though. A nice touch.

I have to agree with some of the concerns regarding dialogue. I've really missed Rachet and I hope he can do something to offset the 'quirky characters' soon.

 

Now this looks much more interesting than the mtmte revolution preview.
