I think they started at 8.99 or 9.99. They had some small ones at Botcon. I believe that is by far the biggest set everyone saw.

I meant $20 less than the price listed, meaning $39.99, I thought that's what the MSRP was when announced at Toy Fair? Ah, checked HTS...$60 there too. I'll have to see just how big this guy is in person. I'm not happy that these do not transform.

    Jeeezum crow. :O
Yeah, I'm gonna pass on the whole line. Maybe I'll get lucky and they'll eventually sell the minifigs separately. That's all I really wanted anyway. :(

As if the price wasn't enough of a deal breaker, that makes me lose all interest in the line.

    Damn.

As long as the Kreons get sold seperately, the price on the full sets really won't effect me. (I'm not into Legos at all but, I have seen how expensive those can get so, I guess the price isn't that much of a shocker)

The price on the movie Optimus is pretty hefty, but the listings on Hasbro Toy Shop for the other sets look more on par with what I was expecting, more or less. Megatron is $40, but Bumblebee is $8 (Scout price), Mirage is $12 (Deluxe price), and Ratchet is $20 (Voyager price.) I'm happy with those, just curious about size.

Definitely don't take this Optimus as the end-all-be-all pricing, I'd say still give these others a chance.

And to the folks disappointed by the lack of transforming; do we know for sure? Besides, it's building blocks... kind of expected that they don't transform. But nice if they do.

I was thinking more like $30. Still more than I'm willing to spend at the moment. especially since all I really want are the mini figures.

It's great that these are already being sighted out there..as for the price, it's steep, but it's Optimus--he's worth it. :D

No, seriously, I think we should wait until the discount retailers start having them in stock and we can find better prices on these figures. :thumb
Other than that, we can just hope for some coupons or % off sales happen soon.
