Avatar smoked TF:ROTF in EVERY way. Better effects, better story, better action, better acting, and all around better film. Hopefully Michael Bay will see it and take notes. No oscars for him this year.

The last time a theater experience was this enjoyable was 1977, when Star Wars came out.

And? Avatar doesn´t seem all that great to me. Not sold on Dances with Smurfs yet.

plot does not count; when it comes to visuals lol

but yea; i have to admit; avatar blew rotf out of the water.

how ever; the transformers DO still look more real then the blue "smurfs" but; avatar still has the far better visuals.

how ever; i still say; coraline is the better movie; visually. :)

cgi is awesome; but nothing compares to the REAL thing.

So, what's the purpose of this thread? You have three posts to tell me before locksville. Seems like a very sad attempt at getting angry responses, which have already happened, so unless there's a shred of dignity in this thread it's going bye bye.

Avatar was awesome, saw it in 3D, really takes you somewhere and you feel good leaving the theater. I was grinning for a good hour after it ended. Sure like any movie you can pick on things, everything has basically been done before.

Still there is no reason you can't love Avatar and the TF films, they both have there merits. Visually Avatar took it to another level with more CG, where as TF there was more real scenes - it depends on what you like. Avatar did cost far more than the TF films, so there is that to consider.
