Hey All...I thought that with Halloween coming up, we could share all of our Transformers themed Pumpkins ( if there are any out there)....This is my first attempt at a Jack-o-lantern. It's a day old already so it's SLIGHTLY deformed from what I initally cut, But I thinks it's pretty good for a first try.

I've been wanting to do this for a while, but then I remember how much I suck at carving pumpkins. Hopefully some other people have some cool stuff to show off too.

I completely SUCK at drawing both Autobot and Decepticon insignias. I'm just going to go for the good ole "two triangle eyes and creepy mouth" jack-o-lantern this year.

But who knows? Maybe I could draw out the Maximal symbol for the pumpkin. :p

I had actually planned to make one Decepticon and one Autobot this year...Me and my GF went and picked out the pumpkins already, and she is REALLY good at this stuff...so she is going to help me start carving on Wednesday. I will share with pics when they are done...stay tuned!

Here is one that I did back in '03. I would really like to try and do a Decepticon as well one of these years.

I'm surprised no one asks the graphic artists for some help on this. Some of them have perfect renders of the symbols.

The best thing to do is make a copy of whatever you want to put on there and use a thick needle or a nail and poke holes through the paper onto the pumpkin. That way you just connect the dots with your carving tool. Just don't carve out whole pieces. ;)

I tried using that method with toothpicks...but it didn't work quite right, because as I cut on part out, the left over parts ended up being closer together than I thought...So I had to keep making adjustments....I don't thing the starter holes were big enough. Also I was using dull steak knives from a friends house for carving so looking closely...it's more of a hack job than those Pumpkin carving kits would make

Ok as I said above my gf was quite good at this so she lended me alot of assistance. I have never done a Jack-O-Lantern before and wanted my first time to be the faction symbols. She helped me by formulating our plan of attack, then I did alot of cutting while she followed up behind me fixing up my mess. Here is one shot of the end result, hope you like it as much as I do.
