Not sure about the colouring on this as it makes it a bit hard to decipher what's happening and which bot is which.

Great, went from two awesome issues right back to mediocrity.

So Prime goes from treating Megatron as an equal not two issues earlier to just shutting him down the very instance he raises a concern.

    Uh huh.

I like the action, but agree the dialogue is a bit dull.

The art is interesting. But the coloring was a bit too harsh. At one point it was starting to bother my eyes.

I love the series overall so far... but i HATE HATE random deaths. I feel like its such a missed opportunity for potential stories. I dont mind deaths that have meaning or serve to further the story but just killing characters for the sake of it bugs me.

It's not bad, but can we get back to James Roberts and Alex Milne. ...JUST SAYIN.

I don't like the art, the painted look is nice but I don't care for the rest of the look.

The art is interesting, and I personally LOVE the high contrast coloring. It's a nice change up from what we're used to in these comics. Story..... is gonna suffer a bit with Costa back on it. Shoulda stuck with Roberts, or got Roche to do some more writing.

That's what happens when you go from someone who's actually a good Transformers writter, back to Costa.

wow, the change in quality between the last 2 previews and this one is jaw-droppingly dramatic. the tiny amount of story over 8 pages here was really disappointing, and some of the dialog fairly cringe-worthy.

well that was fun while it lasted, this whole story has been in the works for awhile so hopefully IDW will take notice and start working us more towards 22 & 23 down the line, I get the feeling Chaos will read a lot better as a trade than individuals.

Love that artwork, and was really happy to see Cloudburst again since he's one of the Autobot's 4 Pretenders. Just wish he hadn't died, but I can see Cyclonus and/or Scourge taking him out.

As much as I'd like to defend Costa, citing Ironhide as proof that the man has some good going for him, it's really getting hard. He's handled Ongoing very poorly, especially towards the middle, and the downgrade from Roberts is extremely noticeable and just reeks of ignorance.

Why has Prime reverted back to this treatment of Megatron? My guess is Costa either didn't read it or didn't like how developed those characters were getting. It's really frustrating, considering how well Roberts handled the last two issues. Unlike the last two, this preview doesn't make me excited for this comic in the least.

Bah. The art is quite good and nice to look at, but it's such a stark contrast to Milne's that it is rather jarring in the conversion. Just... disappointing.

Although I do agree that this stuff is immediately less compelling than the last two issues, I don't think it's fair to cry foul and point fingers yet. We've moved from a talky, character-driven story on to an urgent crisis event story... and yet, somehow the BIG IMPORTANT THINGS seems less interesting than the more dialogue-heavy stories. Interesting, eh?

I don't think Prime's behaviour is really that out of place. Megatron kind of pulled his strings and pushed his buttons over the last two issues... to the point that Prime snapped and almost killed him. I think the honeymoon is over now. Prime no longer has any reason to feel empathy for Megatron... only disappointment and enmity.

After all... in spite of their shared history, it's not like they were going to become best buddies. They're still mortal enemies. We shouldn't lose sight of that.

    I like the art. It's cinematic, it's well-made and it's different.

As for the overall super dramatic story arc that is... CHAOS? Honestly, I couldn't really care less. Overwrought, self-consciously epic, apocalyptic crossovers like this have become so tedious and passe. Maybe they will win me over, but for now... meh.
