I think of transformers as hand candy, sometimes.

I keep them around my desk, my bed, the couch in my mom's living room, and so on (though I don't keep them in the bathroom, but I will take them in there to play with when I'm gonna be a while).

I usually open my new TF's in the bathroom when I'm doing #2. Its something to do while emptying out the bowels. Like honestly, how many times can you read a shampoo bottle??

    Thanx

The last time I brought a TF into the bathroom it was a disaster.

My TFC Skids came in the mail and I decided to go #2 so I brought him along. While I was fiddling with the figure, I accidentally shot the missile. The trajectory of the missile went RIGHT INTO THE TOILET. There's more to this story, but I think I will leave it out since it just gets worse.

So needless to say, my Skids is now down one missile off the tree and I will NEVER bring a TF into the bathroom again.

I didn't piss on Hasbro for launcher! I LIKE launchers! It was just my worst luck that the missile locked on to the toilet as its target!

Hmm, never played with/ or opened a TF in the bathroom, though I have read TF comics, books and magazines. Until the last bathroom paint job, I did have a couple of Mc D's Beast Wars TFs hiding on a high piece of bathroom molding. Why? Wish I knew. I have brought Transformers into the batroom though, to brush the dust off them over the sink. I use a soft lens brush. Because of the possibility of a mishap, like the one mentioned above, Transfomers never go near the toilet.

    Anyway, as a side note, I like launchers. Worst case scenario: finding a projectile on the carpet in the collection room. Sometimes it can take me the better part of an hour finding the Transformer that launched it. Decepticons launch more than Autobots. The wall that contains the shelves where most of the Decepticons live is shared with the laundry room. The vibrations sometimes actually move some of the lighter Cons and Micromasters fall etc. I have to check for potential shelf-divers after every wash. %-}

My brother took his brand new chogokin to the toilet when he was little, just because he didin't wanna let me touch it.

And he dropped it in the toilet.

Unfortunately back in the 70s we didn't have the flush toilet, so the toy fell through the tunnel into the tank full of you know what.

That memory stops me from taking toys to the bathroom.

Wow, this thread exists and i didn't start it.

Yep, guilty as charged... i think Transbot90210 put it best:

Of course, it does lead to problems... i put my C-Brushguard down, and it popped his chest missile, right into the bowl.

    as depicted here:

I take the boxes or stuff I can read about Transformers but never my Transformers into the toilet. Cybertron maps are a good bathroom read.

Maybe the paperwork or comic that came with them, but never the toy. I usually just bring my DS lite in with me, or if I am at work, read my e-mail and yahoo news on my cell phone.

No. Ive never taken my transformers into the bathroom. Not even when i was a little kid. I had rubber duckies and boats to play with while in the tub..

All I know is to never handle any of KAs poop-bots.

That's the most tragic thing I ever heard in all my years of toy collecting...I seriously don't know whether to laugh or cry...

As for me, I have never brought a single toy to the bathroom...

I admit, I have opened new ones while dropping the kids off at the pool. It was SWTF X-Wing, as I recall.

Maybe that's why I don't think it's as shitty as everyone else says.

Err..... gotta say no on this one. While I used to be a bathroom reader, as I've gotten older I've adopted a "what goes in the bathroom stays in the bathroom" policy. So any books or magazines I think I might someday want to read OUT of the bathroom, I don't bring in in the first place. The same would apply to any toys I plan to display later. Once they've been in the bathroom.... well, you know, the air in there.... it just doesn't seem right.

And yet somehow leaving my toothbrush in there doesn't bother me. Go figure.
