i just thought of this, would it not be totally awesome is a transformer toy or toys appeared in a new Toy Story movie. I doubt this would happen for obvious reasons but would TF fans hearts not sore is they saw optimus prime, or bumblebee or megatron pop up in the animated masterpeices. maybe they could be G1 or Classics or what but theyed be there. i cant express how great that would be.

a dinobot sure would put the scare into rex :ev:

found a goofy pic for it

They had a Transformers parody in the short that played before the Muppets, it was a steak Transformer called, T-Bone. He even had a little Transformation sound.

Mr Potato head is from Hasbro's Play Skool devision. I don't think it was rights, I think it was just "Ok, short 5 minute film, let's have a Transformers parody in it, cause, I mean, we're not gonna spend tons of money, just for a gag, in a short film."

Because they were in a fast food restaurant. it was a reference to the happy meal toys. That was the joke. I mean, come one.

I thought a movie like this was in production. It was called "Hasbro Factory" or something like that.

I heard of that. A mold decides to quit its job, just before an American release. The other molds must track him down before bitching of international proportions shakes Hasbro's fanbase.

    That's a great idea for a movie.

I think Sentinel Prime and Lotso Huggin Bear would be BFF's. :p

Okay, let's go with "wasn't worth it to do so". Toy story is one of Disney's most marketed brands, though I don't think it was intended originally to become the merchandising powerhouse it is now (thus including Mr. Potato Head, a product of a rival company). I find it extremely unlikely that they would go through the hassle of licensing an even more popular toy that they would be promoting through their own film, but would be unlikely to capitalize on financially through merchandising.

There weren't any "issues." They obviously got the rights to all those characters before they even began production.
