    Well, no.

No one else is selling anything:
So that's all. Everyone's accusing her of ripping off the movie when it's the other way around...which I kinda suspected.

If you ask me though, she's gone this far, and if Hasbro/Paramount wants to settle this out of court, we'll see whether she sells out or not. Why? Well, if she's in this for the money, she'll settle this out of court. If she's in this to clear her name, she doesn't.

Unless, of course, regardless of the facts, she has no chance of winning...in which case Has/Para probably won't even offer to settle it out of court, so so much for that possibility...

Seems to me she should get a cut of the profits from the Air Fresheners that have been sold.

Regardless, this is probably gonna end up as being more bait for the "I Hate Michael Bay" Faction....

*I can never seem to spell the name Michael. And I doubt I got it right either time just now...

hehe, funny news. stupid Dreamworks could have easily changed the design the slightest, and added one more 'e' to the text, and been scott free. but in reality, what is 850,000 when your movie rakes in close to 1,000,000,000

Dreamworks just can't not rip off other people's work it seems. You would think they would be smarter given the fiasco over the dubious origins of the The Island's script.

Oh great, now they'll pay her and have to release the movie on DVD another time with 25 more seconds of Miles washing his dog to cover the costs.

If it gets us some more cool special features, like I commentary from Peter Cullen, thatd be worth them getting sued.

Actually now that I think about it, I cant beleive they didnt do an actor's/cast commentary. Peter Cullens has been around since day 1 of the franchise for god's sake. Even if he did take like a 15 year break.

Whats wrong about being in it for the money too? People don't patent/copyright things because they have nothing better to do.

I bought one off of Ebay and it was extremely ghetto. I should buy the ripoff "official" ones, since they look higher quality. Mine is horrible. It had a delicious scent for like 3 days, and it's like hemp rope or something instead of the rubbery string you normally get.

She deserves money. One of the few lawsuits where it actually makes sense!

I'm very interested to see what happens with this. I would've thought that the movie amounted to free advertising for her IP, but if somehow this whole thing actually damaged her ability to profit from her copyright....

It's not just air fresheners. She's an artist and designer. Her work has been produced on stickers, buttons, and other products in addition to air fresheners.

I'm not sure if she used a pseudonym for her commercial art (like a pen name for a writer) or if the person mentioned in the article was someone working with the person currently named on the Evilkid site. Either way, the names don't match up.

Ha I feel sorry for the people who spent $50 for one of those on ebay when the movie first came out when they could have bought one for ALOT less.

Weird. As far as I knew, Dreamworks hadn't been selling the things. They gave them away at Botcon, but that ain't selling them. Any that I saw being sold on websites (sites actually carrying a selection of air fresheners) weren't Transformers licensed. Their descriptions changed a bit, noting that they were "as seen in the blockbuster summer movie "Transformers", but other than that, there was no reference to TFs anywhere on the air-freshener - it had the Bee-yotch design on both sides, unlike the ones from Botcon.
