I recently got told I need to read more

So I figured let's read the transformers comics from IDW

the problem is that there's SO MANY to choose from

Does anyone have an ideal where there is a good comic to start off with?

    This.

Read 'Death of Optimus Prime' and then the current ongoings.

Later on, if you enjoy what you read, you can go back and fill in blanks. But you don't need to read anything before Death of Optimus to understand and enjoy what's going on now. And frankly, the majority of the stuff before Death of Optimus wasn't as good anyhow.

Try and avoid Costa's ongoing like it's the plague because it's terrible, as well as establishing the IDW Earth's tradition of promoting the most incompetent people they can.

I made the post located at the above link based off of the reading guide located in this subforum so I completely agree with edgs2099 on that.

Just grab everything I linked (Last Stand of the Wreckers, Issues 22 & 23 of the old ongoing, Death of Optimus Prime in that order), and then start reading the mega bundle. With only $62 and you'll be caught up on all but the most recent issues of RID and MTMTE.

    Enjoy!

Edit: James Roberts who writes More Than Meets the Eye also cowrote Last Stand of the Wreckers and wrote issues #22 and #23. He picks up a number of plot threads from both of those works in More Than Meets the Eye, hence their inclusion in the reading guide.
