Bold some parts for emphasis
interesting news. I wonder if someone at Paramount is sitting there saying, "now why did we take money under the table for HDDVD exclusive, when had we released them on both last year we would have reaped those benefits earlier, and then some."
On a completely unrelated, yet celebratory, note, it's VERY nice to see that TRANSFORMERS has become so popular and mainstream that it's selling DVDs and Blurays through the roof. These aren't the days of darkness, (Post G1 Season 3, and Before Beast Wars), Transformers definitely has some staying power.
Your welcome Paramount.
I bought the HD-DVD last year (which I sold along with my player when it was determined Blu Ray would be the victor) and I bought the Blu Ray last week.
The Bayformers have ruined Transformers forever.
I'd rather have ruined transformers "Relatively speaking" (that relativity depending on which fans you ask), than no transformers at all. I'd hate to be a die hard He-Man fan right now. And just to be clear, by "Days of darkness" I don't mean that TFs sucked at that time, I mean they stood to vanish into the realm of Gobots and Bravestar.
Awesome, and my local wal*mart finally put the damn blu-ray out a WEEK late! lol.
Quite the opposite for me. They brought it out of stagnation in both toys and media, and Animated finished the job.
Forget Classics, these are the two best things to happen to TF in a long time imo.
pssst, i'm pretty sure D_C was being sarcastic...
I knew TF would do well on Blu-Ray. But 2/3 of the TF sales being Blu-Ray was a welcome surprise. It's a great looking movie in HD.
I was being sarcastic.
I love the movie, some of the toys weren't that great cause they had loose parts and such but all and all they were really cool. I don't know however if the whole Blue Ray is really worth it or not.
Im kinda surprised, I thought it would sell well, just not that well.
hehehe, your sarcasm is someone else's serious post.
That flew right above them.
Great news. Always thought it would do well, but to do so well as to place the movie again in the top 3 best selling titles a year after its release it's amazing.
It would have sold better if Blu-ray was cheaper, too bad.
That's not about BR being cheaper or not, it's about places like Best Buy gorging their prices. I have not spend more than 25 bucks on a BR disc (aside from Lost and Blade Runner). I got Transformers for 25 bucks, 5 bucks more than the DVD, and exactly what the DVD cost in some places.
Frys sells BRs at a reasonable price, as does Wal-Mart.
Still haven't gotten the Blu Ray yet, I know I should, but I do have the HD DVD, and the regular DVD, and...dammit....I'm probably just going to buy it again on Blu Ray. :/
Thank you for that extremely well thought out and thought provoking opinion. I sure hope you grace more threads with such genius responses that are in no way completely played out throughout the entire internet.
