Yeah, there's been a few official English versions now:

    - Years back there was a godawful "so bad its funny" dub produced by Star TV. Stuff on there included renaming characters with no rhyme or reason i.e. Blaster is now Billy. Soundblaster is now "NEW Soundwave!"
    - Metrodome released the initial DVD with subtitles and also the Star TV dubs for the UK market. The subs were a decent quality but needed proofreading one more time - ironically Chris McFeely who was working as a consultant on the project actually did do a proofread / edited version but the earlier version was used instead.
    - Madman Entertainment released their own set for Australia, using the Metrodome translations.
    - Shout! Factory did their own version last year for the US. Different subtitles completely, theirs were slightly more flat in execution IIRC. Their set did not include the hilariously bad dub.

All three went on to do Masterforce and Victory for their respective markets but the Star TV dubs were not, IIRC, included on any of the sets.

It's worth pointing out that this box set, though produced for the UK, is region free and can be played on any DVD player. Their Masterforce and Victory sadly are not.

-ZacWilliam, though region free players are easy to get in this day and age.

Sparkle and Danny, god I hate them lol. I had the Headmasters on VHS abou 11 years ago with the English dub. I love Galvatron, every other word is damn you and he sounds like a pirate.

Metrodome Headmasters is the only one that includes an English Audio track yes.

Keep in mind it is an old, BADLY translated, TERRIBLY acted, English audio track with like 5 voice actors tops all of whom have about a teaspoon of acting talent between them.

But it's the only English track that exists, so...

-ZacWilliam, at least it's pretty funny in its abject horribleness...

    The auction says:

    "Genuine Malaysia Edition"

That's possible. It's also very possibly an unliscenced bootleg which is very common in that part of the world.

-ZacWilliam, Either way the English track can only be the terrible/hilarious Malaysian dub as it is the only one that exists.

I might just order off eBay each version separately and just watch it with subs.

The headmasters characters show up for like 3 scenes in Masterforce, and a few of the Masterforce characters show up in Victory, but the focus is on different characters in each show, yes. They still exist in the same "universe" though.

I was clicking around on youtube and I saw a "Optimus Prime" guy in it? Kinda like headmasters where the old G1 people are around for few episodes
