...why's Battletrap on the list when it's two toys?

Gotta go with Battletrap. The amount of engineering in two Legends class figures is phenomenal. The articulation in combined mode is obscene. As Thew said, "He's definitely a bendy boy!"

A vote for Battletrap is a vote for more than just the usual suspects.

Blackout hands down. Aside from a few nitpicks I thought he was perfect. Really took me back to the promis & excitement of the 07 movie release. My second choice would be Battletrap. I hope Hasbro gives us more toys designed with that play pattern in mind, they really did an amazing job with that design.

Of the choices presented, I'd go with either SS Starscream or Grimlock, but neither of those are close to the top, as neither is POTP Slag, or Rippersnapper, or Tailgate, or non-evil Rodimus, or Moonracer, or...

(and that's just counting toys that I own from the first half of this year! I don't know how much ass Predaking or Optimal Optimus or others kick or don't kick yet. :)  )

Because I've been waiting since 2007 for one, SS Series-sized Blackout.

Agree with everyone Battletrap is just so well made. It's a duocon and an energon combiner done right.

Voted for Battletrap. We'll always get Optimus Prime, Grimlock, etc., let's show Hasbro we want the obscure characters like the Duocons. That aside it is a really fun, cool toy.

Because he has one hell of a combined mode.

But you're still required to find and purchase two figures. The rest of the figures on this list are complete packages.

That is true, but are counting it as a whole figure because it serves as a combiner, with a singular robot mode.

Battletrap is two separate toys, that combine and are not sold together or even advertised as combining. As such Battletrap shouldn't even be on here.

Because very few people nominated him. Surely I'm not the only one who doesn't want to reward Hasbro for engineering the leg bots with giant thigh backpacks and giving Predaking a weird wasp waist.

Honestly, my favorite figure of the year so far is 7" Cyber Battalion Shockwave. The only thing I have against him is the lack of knees but everything else is pure win.

Battletrap is winning? Really? That one is near the bottom of my POTP appreciation list...waaaaay down in the basement...drinking Mt.Dew and eating Funyuns with Dreadwind and Cindersaur...

I voted Blackout...I would have gone with POTP OP if his alt mode were more attractive. And I'm sad to see no Volcanicus in the list...shame.
