Masterpiece mp-08x King Grimlock 4 (tied) Masterpiece mp-04 Optimus Prime 5 G1 combiners- Devestator, Bruticus, or Menasor notable mention- g1 trypticon, fp bruticus, mp megatron, mp thundercracker, and g1 shockwave
I actually nailed 2 grails in one week recently. Here is/was my list: 1- MP Thundercracker (Got em) 2- Botcon Alpha Trion (Got em) 3- iGear Ark Set (need it, message me if you want to sell please!) 4- TFC Punch/Counterpunch (need also, but don't want to pay over $100 for it) That's pretty much it since I collect mainly classics and MP stuff.
Yup... I had seen them for 300-400 for the longest. So $180 was highway robbery. But then I saw 1 sell on ebay for 180 as well. So we'll see where the price settles. I don't really care though. Love the bastard. Overlord was mine and I got him this year. I guess Lio kaiser and Deszaras are my new ones. But I have to be honest I don't want them as bad as I did Overlord.
I don't know if I'd go as far as to call these "grails", but I sure do want them and plan to pick them up eventually. In no particular order.... -Takara Reissue Megatron (either "book style" 06 or Encore 02) -MP Optimus Prime -- not sure which one just yet, but I know I want one! -Takara Encore Devastator Gift Set -- ahhh...just like I had as a child! Got one on pre-order w/ BBTS...can't wait! -Takara Reissue Encore #13 Trailbreaker I think that's about it for the moment. Once I get those though, others will fall in line behind I'm sure. That's how it always seems to go anyhow. Not too long ago, this list would have been considerably longer, but I've managed to procure some of my more highly coveted figures in recent weeks thankfully.
You know what, I would recommend ko devastator if you want it the same as when you were a kid. The ko box is almost a perfect replica of the old one, slight changes here and there. Plus the quality of that ko is awesome. Plus $50 cheaper. To me a reissue is the same as a ko anyway.

Thats the thing that gets me, Not insulting you at all, but the idea of the term ''Grail'' only being put on things that are so impossible to find, is unfair. Those I listed are my personal grails. Im not saying you were attacking me, I just have been on a few other sites and have gotten trashed for my picks
Tbh, they are pretty easy to find. Most of them, you just decide what your budget is and wait till you find that figure at the price you want. I really don't fell like I overpaid on most of these. Also, you can get MP Megatron now for like $110. May as well go for that at that price. Or maybe wait for igear one, whenever that comes out.
Hey your grails are your grails, and that is not a bad thing. In today's day and age, you can get any grail you really want. To me, a grail is a figure that is hard to find and usually expensive but you find it at a steal price. Someone told me the mp thundercracker was not a grail. At $110 he was.
Fortress Maximus and Trypticon. May one day buy Metroplex again because my original one has broken legs Scorponok is in good condition. Also, always considering getting more combiners (Have Defensor/Superion) and a KO Devastator. Considering Hercules but the price...!
110 bucks is a great price fir him i think i saw one for 120 maybe ill pickv him up when i get a bigger budget
i go with definition number 2…it's something that you are after that seems impossible, for whatever reason, to get.
Hopefully no one is rude enough to "trash" you here. Everyone has different economic situations, values things differently, etc. That Jaguar is about the most expensive and hard-to-find thing that I actually want, that's all. I mean, I've wanted an MP Starscream for awhile, but I would have it by now if I wasn't poor.
